We came here tonight with my boyfriend for our last night in Koh Lanta and it was very very disappointing. We wanted to sit in a specific table by the sea that was reserved as we were told upon arrival. No problem, can happen. The thing is that nobody came during the 2 hours we were there and the restaurant closes at 21.00, so apparently they just didn't want to give it to us. That made a bad impression, but since we found another table that was nice I just let it pass. The worst thing ever was the communication with the lady that took our order adm I had the feeling that after some point she was mocking us in our face. We told her explicitly two times that we wanted the grilled fish, we even checked with her before giving our order. After all the dishes arrived and we had finished them we asked about the grilled fish. Her answer was that she didn't write it down and the order never reached the kitchen. She apologised and said it will be ready soon. After 30 more minutes (1 hour in total of waiting literally for nothing since the fish never arrived), when we asked her again she said "no fish" without even apologising. When I told her that we had been waiting one hour for it she just went away and didn't even say anything. I should also note that we ordered the squid with thai herbs that was so hard that we had to give it back, it was like eating rubber. What should I say about this place after all this? one of the worst places I tried while in Thailand. Very bad service, extremely hard to communicate and very average food. Wouldn't come back even if I got paid for it. Go...
Read moreWe had a rather unpleasant lunch dine in experience in one of the restaurants in the vicinity of Sala Dan, Ko Lanta. A beach front restaurant with a life size Elvis figure in front & refreshing sea view at the back of the restaurant. There were only 6 of us and our driver with his wife that walked in during lunch time. No other customers. We waited over 1 hours for our orders to be served…. we were so hungry and luckily the serene sea view calmed us with none of us losing our tempers. Now, back to this restaurant, upon entering into another restaurant, Krua Lanta Yai ( Beautiful ).... into another unknown place, the next day. I politely ( ขอมารยาทก่อนน่ะครับ ) asked how long will it takes after selecting all the dishes to prepare our lunch. The owner was puzzled abit & I quickly explained our previous day unpleasant experience. He assured us that before we know it, lunch is served. Our awesome Thai dishes arrived on our table at a very reasonable time and it was a pleasant surprised they were so tasty & nearly eat my tongue way ...ha ha. This is a mama & papa operation, they were super friendly. After our lunch, the whole family members came out to take group photo with us. Mama, the kitchen supervisor/cook, daughter the cook & papa handle the overall restaurant management. You will not be disappointed with the individual floating dining huts to dine in, open spaces with plenty of sea breeze, serene view and great service. Pricing was really very reasonable that sealed in the overall happy dining in experience. Highly recommended & you won’t be...

The vibe here is unbeatable — right by the sea with a chill breeze and a perfect sunset view 🌅 If you arrive early, try to grab one of the outdoor tables by the edge. Trust me, the view and the atmosphere make the meal even better.
The staff are super friendly and welcoming, too. You’ll feel like you’re dining at a friend’s place rather than a restaurant — laid-back, warm, and full of smiles 😊
Once you’re full and happy, don’t forget to take a stroll through Sri Raya Old Town nearby. It’s a charming little community with old wooden houses, cute cafés, and local shops. A lovely way to walk off that seafood...
