Walking through the corridor to the secret bar is walking through history of Old Town. We chilled with the owner who was a complete gent and shared with us the history of the bar. The building was his grandmothers (Named Mayuri) home and was used for moving coal and salt fish around Koh Lanta for 100 years. The place has been renovated by reusing the old materials from the family home/business and has an amazing feel in the eve. We sat right at the front of water edge and we was given a bell to ring for service (bit awkward but sweet). Had a downpour so we retreaded to the upstairs loft area which is built with bamboo.
Follow the floor sign, it feels like you are properly walking to a secret area until your hit by the bar.
Everything is tastefully reclaimed and you can really feel the effort that has been put in to make this work.
