Road Side Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

Worst experience in Koh Lanta and maybe even Thailand (second winter here). Came with wife and a kid. Ordered simple dishes for appetisers chicken nuggets and spring rolls. For main Thai curry witch chicken and same with shrimps. 40 minutes after ordering food, we asked, maybe we could get appetisers any time soon, the waitress looked surprised and without saying anything went to the kitchen. We waited another 10 minutes for appetisers and another 30 minutes for food without any excuse. Even though they weren’t a lot of people 2-3 tables all we got after asking the main dish was rude reply - “many orders!”. At the end we got two curries with chicken, and “sorry would you like another dish with shrimps?”. So many good places...

Nice and clean restaurant with good food. Wanted something pork and they have it. Had e-san pork neck and calamari. Both were good, with the e-san sauce being a little spicy. Warning for those who can't stand spicy.

They have ceiling fans for when necessary.

4 drinks, 2 starters and 2 mains came to 780 baht which is fine to us.

If you need a trike back home just go to the 7eleven nearby. Always couple of them parked there.

Part 2: Went back yesterday. Pork neck bbq, garlic pepper chicken and vegetable fried rice. Again portions seem slightly bigger than elsewhere and again good quality. Moist Pork and chicken and yummy fried rice. Mango sticky rice...
