SweetSoul Lanta — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

We thoroughly enjoyed spending time at SweetSoul. We went here twice. The atmosphere is relaxed, with music playing. The staff are friendly and up for a chat.

With a toddler we found is place to be a prefect place to relax and for our son to play (part of the inside of the bar is sand floor which was an ideal environment for a toddler who loves to play in sand! There were a few sand toys for him to play with). Both times we were there, they gave our toddler a slice of watermelon which was very generous and kind of them.

The first time we came was for a drink and second for dinner. We ordered the Massaman Curry (Thai spicy), and it was delicious. There is so much depth in flavour, one of the best we had had during our time in Thailand. And we had Sweet and sour veggies on rice, also delicious. And finished with the coconut ice...

Absolutely wonderful. All day great service. Superb price for value. Great music (if you like classic rock, I do!) Right on the beach, easy to find. And the best place around for authentic Thai vegan food (not a hash up of Mediterranean dishes).

10/10 will come back many times before we leave here in koh lanta!

Update - we did! Several times, I can't count and will be back once more tomorrow. Almost tried everything on the menu and never once felt anything needed improvement. The staff are fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful. Honestly not sure what else to say, apart from, why isn't there something like this in London! Going to be sad knowing we won't be back after tomorrow.

If you have the chance to come here, vegan or not. Go. You won't regret it.

A lovely shack on our favourite beach on the island. Very relaxing atmosphere, hammocks, cushions and stunning sea view. It's the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful sunset with a cold coconut in hand. The prices are a little high for Thai food and our food was not very tasty. Perhaps we just didn't make a right choice. But the very friendly host made our stay warm and comfortable, so we really enjoyed it and would come again.

Update (2 years later): I came back after two years, and I’m so glad I did! Everything was absolutely delicious. The food was great, the atmosphere was just as lovely as I remembered, and the owners and staff were super friendly. They also have great drinks, and everything is very clean. Really happy I gave it another try—definitely a place worth...
