SandYard Beach Bar — Restaurant in Ko Samui

Where do I start? Booked a table on the beach, for 7:30 PM for the fire show scheduled for 8 PM. Arrived on time told the fire show was on for 8 PM. Ordered overpriced drinks for each of us and being okay with it as we were about to see a free fire show. At 7:50 PM we were advised the fire show was cancelled, no reason given. Everyone there, all five other people, left. We finished our drinks and approached the bar to pay for our overpriced drinks expecting an apology, even a discount for the show cancellation. Instead we were met with the full bill and an additional !0% service charge. For what? No show, service sucked, drinks were overpriced. When we asked why the show was cancelled they told us rain. The rain stopped two hours before we arrived and it was a beautiful night. We will certainly not be back but if you're looking for a fire show, decent prices , this is not the place. Recently opened on a huge site on the Beach Rd, Bangrak. There is a bar that sells at lesst 10 draft beers, and another sells wine and spirits. They also have a BBQ section for mainly seafood. There's plenty going on here with many different areas to eat and drink and play pool. On the several occasions I've been there, DJ's are banging out all sorts of noise. The clientele seems to be mainly Thai. There are lots of helpful staff and prices seem reasonable. We've been coming here off and on since June 2024. They've remodeled so much, which is amazing! However, there's lack of food consistency.
