Balcony Party Hostel — Restaurant in Krabi Province

I was hopeful for my stay at Balcony but I disappointingly left terribly unsatisfied. The first night of my stay the toilets were all clogged and the smell of poo smelt out the hallway up until where my room was. All the showers and toilets smelt awful. Also to mention the hostel is situated above 3 flights of stairs that also smell like piss. I stayed in a 10 person female dorm and every night we could all hear rats scurrying in the roof all night. This is sickening and made it hard to sleep for us all. On the top bunks you are less than a foot away from the roof so you can hear the rats as if they were directly on top of you. There were most definitely multiple rats and they were loud and large. I also met someone who had showed me a video of a large cockroach running across his bed. I have never stayed in a place with rodents and pests until Balcony party hostel. When my friend complained about the rats the staff were not bothered and seemed like they had heard it before. I love a party hostel but this hostel had the most dead atmosphere of anywhere I have ever stayed. Less then 5-10 people joining all events, same music every night that was so loud you could barely communicate with others outside. If you’re looking to party and meet people I would most definitely not recommend this hostel as it is very hard to meet others and there is not much going on. The free breakfast and 2 bbq skewers were nice but the only positive comment I can make about this awful stay. 0/10 will not be recommending to others...

I Booked into the Balcony Party Hostel initially for two days when I got to krabbi. After I’d been to Bangkok, Chang Mai, Chang Rai, Pye, Puket. In short I wished I had flown straight from England to krabbi. with its beach and chilled out vibe.. And access to all of the east and west paradise islands

I spent a whole week here. The Balcony were happy to be flexible with my changing plans and add additional days as my week went on.. I’m very talkative and got to know the staff very well as traveling solo. Along with the Nightly Music. Beer pong, pub crawls and daily trips you can book at reception. There are plenty of toilets and showers (mixed so bring a towel). There are several clubs bars and eating spots IN THE SAME BUILDING! To enjoy also Balcony is at the ‘centre’ of activity on the beachfront and a reference point for walkers and party goers. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. There is a mix of European and Thai staff with their local knowledge.. shout out to Ying who organized my trip to koh phi phi. (A paradise island two hours away/one off my bucket list)

I had a great time here and can’t wait to return.. I won’t/can’t stay away long. And will dream about this place back in rainy Blighty!! ...

First of all, if you love parties and just want to have fun and drunk while spending your holiday in Krabi, this is the right place to stay. Plenty of bars and pubs right at the hostel and also the whole building of the hostel. Recommended the bar just one floor down the hostel, it's a Thai bar with a Thai live band. Great environment.

Location wise is very convenient. Right on the busy street of Ao Nang. Plenty of restaurants and street food around, as well as bars, convenient shops, cafes, fast food, souvenir shops and massage centers. 500 meters walk to Ao Nang - Railey Boat station.

The hostel room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Some shower rooms do not have hot water and the water was very small. Overall they are quite clean.

The hostel is facing Ao Nang beach. Great sea view at the balcony of the hostel. The hostel staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The only downside was, there's no pantry like other hostels, no water dispenser and no oven to heat up food from 7-11.

Anyways, it depends on what kind of vibes you want during...
