I visited this restaurant with a friend on our last night in Krabi after spending two months traveling around Thailand (Bangkok, Pattaya, and finally Krabi). Sadly, this was the worst dining experience of my entire trip.
The staff struggled with English, which made ordering a bit confusing. I ordered the Australian beef (which was quite overpriced) and a jug of beer. When I asked how many liters a jug contained, the staff seemed unsure and had to call someone else to answer my question. Our food and drinks arrived together in about three minutes, which made me question the freshness of the meal-it's hard to believe that meat, sauce, and potatoes can be prepared that quickly. The food did not look or taste fresh, so I decided not to risk eating it, especially after reading some concerning reviews on Google.
The beer was served without any ice, which I found unusual for Thailand. Throughout our visit, the staff mostly talked among themselves and we did not feel welcome or comfortable. To make matters worse, we saw two rats running inside the restaurant. While I understand this can happen anywhere, it certainly did not help the overall impression. Plus they promote the opening hours until midnight every day but at around 22:30 they already started to closing the place and before 23:30 we had to leave because they closed.
It's kind of tourist trap in my opinion.
If you want to have a nice view, great dinner and spend nice evening I highly recommend the Fullmoon restaurant just a few steps away of this place. It offers a better view, more reasonable prices, no minimum spend per table, delicious food, and a wonderful staff.
Think twice before choosing this place-it could turn out to be an expensive and disappointing experience and you can have much better and much cheaper food and drink in just a few steps away of...
Read moreSevere breach of safety detailed below. Dangerous practices for young children.
Made a booking via WhatsApp and they confirmed it, but when I arrived, they did not have it. Thankfully, it was not peak hour yet and we were able to get a walk-in table. Despite this lapse, we mostly enjoyed the dinner with incredible food and a delightful fire show. However, one severe breach of safety cannot be overlooked. Hope the management will watch out for the safety of their guests.
At one point, one of the fire show performers came to the restaurant to swing the fire around for photo opportunities. I trust their skill (and management's judgement) to not set the place on fire. However, when it comes to swinging the fire toward guests who are clearly afraid and trying to escape but blocked by furniture and other patrons... Some welcomed the photo opps, but some were afraid and yet forced to endure the fire swinging towards them. What cannot be tolerated at all is that this included a young child of about 3 years. The performer swung the fire over the child's head, and the child was cowering and cut off from parent by the parent. 1) The child could be traumatised for life in a frightening situation without a parent to protect her. 2) Children can be unpredictable and if the child had decided to jump up to try to flee, management would have a severe burn incident on its hands.
Unless management takes action to enforce safety practices, I'd say - keep your young children away from this establishment during...
Read moreCelebrated my hubby’s birthday here and we really love the environment, food and the fire show here . You don’t have to pay for the show but if you want to have a close look at the show or front seats then you have to choose the seating with minimum spending on the bill . We choose the green zone with minimum spending is 1500bath . And we spent close to 2300bath 😀 The food is very high quality especially the seafood . It was fresh and tasty . Everything is nice here but we hardly find chicken dishes . Maybe they can add more chicken menu in the future . The restaurant is very clean and tidy and well managed with staff . The only thing is they should put some air cooler for the outdoor seating . With the weather now 32’c hot even ceiling fans are not enough . We feel so warm and also the fire performer came to our table to perform the show on us . It was nice and first experience for us . They do have air conditioning room but barely can see the fire show as you are seating indoor and I don’t think the performers are allowed to the room . And another thing is they don’t give away a complimentary dessert/cake to those who are celebrating birthday there and I think they should . As in malaysia , you just have to mention it’s a celebration and they will give you few options to choose from and it’s FREE ! But the staff are friendly and helpful . They helped us to do some writing on the dessert and sing birthday song to my husband . Overall everything is nice . Rating 5/5 and...
