A perfect, romantic, clean and comfortable dining experience.
I only review when something is a bit special, and it's been a while.
We walked in and were offered smoking or non smoking, which is old school and great. There was, unbelievably, nobody else there, so it didn't matter.
The chairs have cushions, and the tables are a nice big size. I'm sick of garden furniture and 0.5sqm. Tables. Lovely.
They have a Massive selection of beers from around the world, I had Leffe and Kwak. 180 to 210 baht and each comes in its own unique glass. Big wine list, cocktails etc. Just great.
Mixed grills were on special. Juicy, quality meat, choice cuts, saucey salad and delicious sides like jackets with sourcream and crispy bacon. Couldn't eat it all, but we tried. Cooked perfectly. They know what medium rare means.
The decor is actually beautiful. Light woody colours inside, well lit, with a beautiful little garden bit, hiding the road outside.
Toilets were stocked, pleasing to the eye, spotless and smelled nice.
Music was calm and unobtrusive.
Staff were friendly, polite and didn't bother us for no reason. They noticed when plates and glasses were empty. We were the only people there, but I have been ignored in many places where we were the only diners. My opinion is that they were well trained.
Espresso came with a lump of dark chocolate and optional whipped cream! It was a dessert in itself. Good coffee.
To top it off, they brought us refrigerated, scented damp towels at the end of the meal, just to freshen up.
I would be proud to be the owner of this beautiful, classy, romantic restaurant. Well done. I hope you make it through covid.
10/10 (I never give that score but you deserve it).
All the best,
Mike from Chiang Mai
P. S. I will post this in a few different places. IMO you deserve...

The four of us dined at Carnivore Steak & Grill last night, and unfortunately, the evening did not end as we had hoped. Two of us fell ill during the night, experiencing both vomiting and diarrhea. We ate between 8–9 PM, and the first symptoms appeared at 2:00 AM.
We cannot say for certain if the food from the restaurant caused this, but since we had not eaten anything else since lunch or after our visit, we wanted to inform you so that you can review your procedures to ensure that nothing was overlooked.
Regardless of this, the service was the worst we have experienced in a long time. The staff was disinterested and inattentive – we ordered a 2,500 THB bottle of wine, yet no one refilled our glasses, even though they passed by our table multiple times. I have no problem pouring my own wine, but if the staff is standing by or passing our table, they should at least notice and offer.
When our main courses arrived, the plates from our appetizers had not been cleared, making it chaotic when the hot dishes needed space. When we finished eating, they cleared just one plate, then five minutes later, they cleared the rest of the table. After that, we sat there for ten minutes with empty glasses, a messy table, and no one asking if we wanted another drink, clearing the table, or offering dessert.
Meanwhile, the staff stood behind the bar, completely occupied with their phones, chatting with each other, and snacking. If you are serving high-quality steak and premium wines at premium prices, you cannot provide worse service than Seven/Eleven – in that case, you might as well introduce self-service.
I won’t be...
Read moreDo not recommend and would never come back.
Wish i was not tired and heard what the issue was when i was there. Would have just walked out.
Edit- They would lose face but they still do it, unfortunately in smaller towns cities more than others. Also i have left a tip because i started as a waiter and i know it can get tough. I worked in non tipping restaurants through and the clients always left me a tip by shoving it in my shirt pocket so i could not refuse. That says something about me serving them.
Also you have automatically assumed that i have had a couple trips to Thailand even through you know nothing about me.
I have lived in Thailand for 2.5 years and yes i can understand thai and so does my Thai wife. Also you smirking and giggling just shows that fish starts rotting from the head.
I almost never ever leave a 1 star review , my policy is if its bad dont write it. Unfortunately the events here needed to be fixed, i see they will not be and that is fine. Not everyone can be...
