Haweli Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Was staying at the Kokotel and walked down to grab a bite to eat. Didn't have Indian food (apparently that's their specialty) but instead had a couple of Thai dishes. The Tom kha soup with chicken was good and it was a sizable portion with plenty of chicken. They also suggested rice, which I normally eat when I have soup. My bride had a traditional Thai noodle dish that was also wonderful.

Apparently the Haweli restaurant is relatively new and is trying to establish itself, being somewhat tucked away on a side street from the main drag. I would suggest you take a few extra steps, get some more exercise, and visit them. The owner is very hospitable and would like to serve you. I recently visited this Indian diner and overall, it offered a satisfying dining experience. The highlights of my visit included good food, friendly staff, and a pleasantly uncrowded atmosphere. The menu featured a variety of traditional Indian dishes, and I opted for the Mutton Rogan Josh. While the flavors were commendable, I found the price of 350 THB for the dish to be on the higher side. This is where I ate the worst food not only in Ao Nang, but in the whole of Thailand. Besides the fact that the tablecloths were stained and the waiter had probably smoked marijuana, the food was absolutely disgusting. Thai food is some of the best in the world and I personally love it, but this was far from it. Noodles were overcooked, tasteless and served cold. The food simply had no taste. The Chicken Noodle Soup also had no taste, no flavor. I refused the food and drank only the Chang beer, and in the end it turned out that the bill included the food I refused.
