Maharaja Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

While looking for an Indian grocery store to make my falafel and rajma curry, I randomly found Maharaja's Indian restaurant in Aonang. Maharaja's is located on a cozy side street just off the beaten path of the hussle of Ao Nang. The food was surprisingly delicious, service friendly and professional. The atmosphere was relaxed, inviting and clean. I ordered the amazing samosa appetizer, Navaratan korma and side of garlic naan. Both were 5 stars, and the samosas were the best I've eaten anywhere in the world and I've traveled around the world! Disgusting staff, I went with my parents to order food from this establishment and forgot to check if the place had halal food, after asking for a halal certificate they where unable to provide so I cancelled the order. After cancelling 3 off the workers followed me up the road threatening to kill me if i didn't pay for the food, baring in mind I cancelled the food before it was made! They went on to threaten my parents swearing at them in Hindi aswell as making racist comments about my religion, followed by telling me we have five minutes to pay or they are going to kill us. Been in Thailand for a month now and although i really do enjoy the Thai cuisines .i was looking for something different n came accross the Maharaja Restaurant in Krabi..Wow..being from Vancouver where there.s abondant of indian cuisine i was pleasantly surprised by the meals i had here..Had dinner with a friend .also from Vancouver n we both agreed it was the best indian cuisine we.ve ever had..Service was impeccable.
