Stayed on the island for a week or so and this is by far the worst restaurant we have been to. We got drinks and ordered food and after about 40 minutes having received our drinks, our food had still not come. We sat patientl- waiting for another 10 minutes during which the tables next to us were filled with more customers and ordered their food. After another 20 minutes, we still have not gotten our food and the table next to us who came 30 minutes after we did received their entree. We then went to ask the waiter where our food was and someone in the open kitchen heard and told us we had to queue for the food and there was an order and told us to stop complaining. Absolutely terrible service. After another 5 minutes I decided to ask someone who seemed like he was the floor manager about our food and he said it should be coming. This is about an hour and 20 minutes after our order and so I told him if our food wasn't made then we're cancelling the order and leaving. Turns out they had yet to begin prepping it. Also forgot to mention how the kitchen lady yelled at us when we asked about our food. By this time the mains had come for the tables that filled after us. Poor service and also stinky environment beside the mangrove trees. We left this place and went to the restaurant diagonally across from then which had much better service. Also beware of mosquitoes and remember to wear...
Read moreThis is probably the most racist place in the whole of phuket, people in thailand are super sweet and courteous but i cant say the same for the people and the owner of this place. We tried to ask them for a table and got rejected two days and on the third day they gave it to us reluctantly and then the owner walked to our table with so much attitude and said, “sorry? I’m the owner, if you have something to say to me, tell me.” We were so surprised where this came from as we had zero interactions with anyone there and it had only been 2 mins since we entered and got a table. We walked out immediately because i was scared she might serve bad food or something to be honest. Later my friend confronted her about her behaviour and she said it’s becuase we were trying to get in for the last 2 days, doesn’t make any sense. Some of other customers actually walked out after this and one person also said she was going to leave a review and never visit again because She was treated poorly too.
I understand running restaurants can be tiring or sometimes having to communicate in a second language can be difficult but it didn’t stop her from being extremely rude and mean to us. If you don’t want people to ask you for a table, may be you...
Read moreOasis Bar and Restaurant in Koh Phi Phi exceeded expectations during our recent visit. We stayed at a resort nearby, so we decided to ride bikes to the village directly behind our accommodations. We walked around a bit and after taking a look at several menus, we selected Oasis.
The deep-fried fish with garlic and pepper was incredibly crispy and packed with flavor. Another standout was the deep-fried fish in Thai sauce—a perfect balance of spices and taste. Our side dishes included perfectly cooked white rice and crispy French fries, which complemented the main courses excellently.
We paired our meal with the delightful fresh strawberry juice, a refreshing choice that I still think about to this day.
The ambiance was inviting, and the staff provided attentive service, we felt most welcome. The bathroom was decent but soap container was empty and napkins but it wasn’t a big deal.
For those seeking a relaxing dining spot in Koh Phi Phi, Oasis Bar and Restaurant...
