Of all the places my wife and I visited in Thailand, View Point is truly a hidden treasure. This was the first restaurant built in the area before all of the other restaurants and bars opened up in town. If you ignore all of the hawkers on the walk through town, cross the bridge, and take a left you'll be at View Point.
I feel this place gets an unfair shake on reviews if you frequent TripAdvisor as it is labeled as "a walk" from the nearby resort, which honestly doesn't seem true. From our hotel room at Koh Phi Phi Island Beach Resort, to View Point, was

I’d seen that View Point Restaurant had good reviews and so we thought we’d give it a go. Very pleased to say that it was absolutely the right decision and we had a fantastic meal. The food was delicious and authentic - easily some of the best we’ve had over our week in Thailand (we ordered the sweet and sour chicken, the chicken with cashew nuts, the massaman curry, and mango shakes - all were wonderful). Read moreI would recommend this place 100%. We stopped here for lunch after a beautiful day at the beach. The restaurant was empty as tourism is still quite low in this part of the island. However, as soon as we arrived after a long walk, all we wanted was a nice drink and good food. We decided to try out this restaurant, as soon as we arrived, the owner was there waiting to welcome us with a big smile. She spoke very good English and was very happy to see people. We had a stir fry with prawns, spring rolls and mango shake. Everything was delicious but the best part, is that we really got to talk to the owner who was very sweet and happy to tell us everything about the real Koh phi phi, about best walks to do, beaches, food and much more. I’m so glad we stopped here! Definitely recommended it..this is the type of place that really need a bit of tourism to start again the business and in exchange, offer...
