Great View, Shoddy Service, Bad Food, Not a Great Stay

We booked 7 rooms for 4 days for 15 people so my review is a culmination of what my family experienced. It was an expensive stay with zero value from the hotel. There is no denying that this property is gorgeous with beautiful swimming pools & pristine beach access. The rooms are also picture perfect but the view cannot make your stay comfortable.

First comes the service, for a 5 star it was really bad. We dropped some water on the room floor, room service never turned up. We had to wipe it ourselves Asked for an extra blanket and that never came. Asked for some extra water ( we were willing to pay for it), it never came. The breakfast for a first start is very limited & the worst indian food I have ever eaten. A basic paratha was raw and felt as if it was cooked from a Ready to Eat packet. We booked a family birthday celebration at the Breeze restaurant for 15 people along with lunch. The food was so terrible that it was inedible. The dal was stale & the rice raw. The Aloo Jeera was saltless. The manager took our sign in the check and skipped before we could discuss the food. They charged us exorbitant money for this party for stale raw food. After lunch, we were left stranded at the venue with pouring rain for an hour. We had senior citizens and toddler in tow. We kept requesting for a buggy to get us back but apparently they were busy in check ins. I had to walk in the rain to the lobby to get a buggy.

Also, the check in staff can be extremely rude. The staff named PingPong got into a yelling match with us just to prove a point in the booking. We were willing to pay but that didn't stop her from yelling at 11pm in the night.

The spa is over priced and very rudimentary. There are plenty of excellent massages & food options outside the hotel at a fraction of the cost

Our stay at Dusit Thani Krabi was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with genuine Thai hospitality. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff made us feel valued and comfortable right away.

The resort itself is breathtaking — surrounded by lush tropical gardens and located right by a beautiful, peaceful beach. Our room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly designed, offering a stunning view and all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay.

Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide selection of international and local dishes, all fresh and beautifully presented. Every morning felt like a treat, especially with the friendly and attentive restaurant team who always greeted us with a smile.

What really stood out was the service — truly five-star. Every staff member, from housekeeping to the concierge, was attentive, polite, and eager to help. Small details, like remembering our preferences and checking in to make sure everything was perfect, made us feel truly special.

The resort’s pools and beachfront area were immaculate and never crowded, making it an ideal place to unwind. The sunset views were absolutely magical.

Overall, Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service makes it one of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed in. We had a wonderful stay in a family room with 2 children. The family room was excellent with a king sized bed and 2 large single beds. There was a large outdoor terrace and lots of storage. Everything was very new.

The beach was lovely for the kids as it was very calm. The water was a bit cloudy on the first day but cleared up the following day and we even saw fish swimming close to the shore. We didn't use any of the water activities but saw people on stand up paddle boards and sea kayaks. The pools were both great. There is a smaller one with a shallow area great for kids and a larger one with a swim up bar more geared towards adults, but not adults only. There were plenty of deck chairs around both pools and at the beach area. The grounds of the hotel are lush and lovely to walk around. We saw lots of wildlife and interesting plant life.

We ate at the hotel during our 4 night stay and it was plenty for us, although you could venture out if you get sick of eating there. The kids menu was extensive and the breakfast was excellent. We loved siting on the outdoor terrace every morning and eating. There is also airconditioned seating.

The spa was divine and they had a great special on for during the day too. It was a really lovely and peaceful spa and I enjoyed all of the treatments I had there. A special mention to Rung and Ning for their excellent service.
