Ordered a pie, ribs special and 12 piece Buffalo wings. The waitress, for some strange reason, asked me if I wanted some of them made with spicy Buffalo sauce and I said "sure".
We were brought just 12 wings with no carrots, no celery and no blue cheese sauce (all are listed in the menu), just ketchup and BBQ sauce. When I asked about the blue cheese, and said that ketchup is not a normal replacement for it, she said something about not being able to go to macro today. I decided not to waste time asking about the vegetables.
The wings were extremely moist and soft and the ribs also lacked any texture of meat. I have no idea what you need to do to meat to turn it to a texture similar to mashed potatoes, but it was somehow achieved. Draft beer was good but the 80 baht cranberry juice was the kind which is sold in Thailand which barely tastes like cranberry, even though the waitress said it was imported. We did also have a chicken pie with sides, which came with the correct sides and tasted ok.
The person who the waitress said was not the owner, but the manager, who informed us he was not the manager, asked how everything was and then took 50 baht, (5%) off the bill for replacing expensive blue cheese sauce with ketchup.
Then the bill came, and I saw I was actually charged for two smaller portions of 6 piece chicken instead of the one larger 12 piece one (even though the buffalo wings I originally announced in my order were more expensive than the BBQ ones).
I felt so cheap trying to explain this to the person in charge, who came over again to ask what's wrong when he saw I was taking a picture of the check and menu. I think he still isn't sure why my original food being replaced with cheaper food resulting ending up being 40 baht extra is any issue. It's no different than being offered a cheaper side order to the one which is included in the cost of the meal because of lack of availability, and then being charged more somehow.
He tried to remind me of the 50 baht he already generously took off the bill and offered to "maybe take off a little more" but it all had the tone of haggling down the price of something at a night-market so I declined.
Just a super annoying dining experience for us. Would've canceled the wings and saved a ton of stress if our kids didn't need to eat something and there wasn't time to get other food...
Read moreI do not recommend, scammers... The waiter recommended cocktails to start, happy hour price. When the bill came, three out of four had been billed at the normal price. The waiter and the owner did not want to fix the bill. The explanation was that only certain drinks were on offer. But they could not show us what these were. The owner ran away from the place, and really didn't even want to find out. Go around from afar...!
In response to yours first comment... first, we sat outside and the board you refer to is inside, above the bar counter. It can't be seen outside. Second, the waiter recommended us cocktails and told us that it's happy hour, all cocktails. When we ordered, she didn't say that only the drink of the day. Third, as you admit, you can cheat customers with poor language skills.
Now it's not about money, it's about cheating. If you had corrected the bill correctly, you would have received the same amount as a tip. Unfortunately, we experienced some scams at your bar and we warn others about it too!!!!
As you can see for yourself, this writing was not visible from our table. Our table is on the right of the picture. Do you have any other writings in there that we should have seen? Why didn't the waiter tell us about it?
Third response to your post... Interesting, you just keep lying. So, once again, the waitress recommended us happy hour cocktails, everyone. We ordered 4 drinks. In the invoice, these were charged at the normal price. When we tried to sort it out in a friendly way, you got mad at us. You said on the board inside the bar that you can bill the full price afterwards. We sat outside, in a place where we can't even see the board. This picture is from your bar's website, not taken by me. We sat 5 meters to the right of the place where the picture was taken.
Your bar has a lot of writing everywhere, does the customer have to read all of them first? Second, I didn't know the waitress lied to us?
I really wonder about your actions, now we are talking about a couple of euros. If you had corrected the bill and apologized to us for the mistake the waitress made, the matter would have been forgotten by now.
Now your message here shows what you really are men, you are barking at customers here and also in private...
Read moreThe place is nice, with outdoor seating and reasonably priced beer. However, my experience with the food was very disappointing. I ordered the vegan burger from the menu and immediately noticed some confusion, but they assured me they had it.
What I got was just a bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion—no patty at all. I pointed out that the menu clearly states it includes a Beyond Burger. They brought me another burger with a light soy-looking patty that was clearly not Beyond, and the taste was not good either. I couldn’t even eat half of it.
The staff was kind and at the end they explained the cook hadn’t shown up that day and they tried to communicate with him with no luck. I appreciate the effort, but if the cook is absent, the rest of the team should either know how to prepare the food properly or simply be honest and say they can’t make it.
I left regretting the visit—it felt like a waste of money. If you're looking for a proper vegan burger at a similar price, I recommend Prime Burger or The Irish Embassy...
