Royal Tandoor Krabi — Restaurant in Krabi Province

I would not recommend.

The service was remarkably quick, we were served food within 10 minutes. Granted, this was because we were served leftovers from earlier in the day. We were the only restaurant guests on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant just pawned off the leftovers to us.

The chicken and lamb were consequently tough and the food as a whole mediocre to bad.

Might it be better when the kitchen was actually running and cooking for their guests? Probably, but we also tried mango lassi and naan bread. The mango lassi lacked cardamon and was diluted with water, so it's not fair to say it is "mango lassi" on their menu when it should rather say "mango smoothie". The naan bread? Stale, dry, thin. Rice has to be ordered extra with every dish.

While the food was quick, the service was alright. They helped us out regularly during the visit. Still, at these prices and the quality I would not...

Very genuine and good food, with alot of flavorful spices. We visited this resturant for our second time this week since we enjoyed it so much. First time we visited, i ordered "Chicken Tikka Masala" with rice, witch was amazing! We also ordered some of the "Naan Garlic" bread along with it. This time we ate "Chicken Korma" that was just as good, with rice and Naan bread.

You can choose how spicy you want it, first time it was a little spicy. But in a good way for me, since you still could taste all the great flavors and different spices. I like it that way!

This time we had "Chicken Korma" without any strong spices and mixed it together with the rice and the naan bread.

There is an overwhelming selection of Indian restaurants in this part of Krabi to choose from. We went into Royal Tandoor based on the aromas coming from within.

All I can say is wow. Everything that we had was amazing. Mutton Chilly made extra spicy that fell apart when touched, pakora that was crispy, 99% meat and flavoursome, the best onion bhaji i have ever had and that was just the starters. Mains and breads, parathas and naans were sensational.

Service was with a smile and I was amazed that one man could serve as many people at one time without causing any delays.

We enjoyed it so much that we went back for visit number two soon after.

One word of warning, the portions are large, very large so order 50% you can always add more.

Sad that we found Royal Tandoor at the end of our time in this quiet...
