Nong Best's Restaurant — Restaurant in Mae Hong Son Province

This is a very delicious local Thai food with local price for the local in a local place. We ordered mushrooms fried with crispy pork, pat thai noodles with egg, and a fried pork with rice and egg on top. For Asian you are recommended to have a lunch at here. For the West, hey here is the real local delights!

There are pictures in the menu, written in Thai, English and Chinese language. Many selections. And they provided ice cubes with a jug of water for us for FREE when we looking at the Menu before ordering. Very nice..

Less one star because the location is little bit far from centre of town and the restaurant is really local without much decorations/design for tourist. Open from 7am until 10pm.

The pad Thai was to die for. The staff was so friendly and skilled. Every single dish we had was cooked with fresh ingredients and tasted delicious. In particular we enjoyed the deep fried fish, noodle dishes, friend rice and fried basil with pork which is number 3 on the "a la carte" menu. We ordered a few dishes with high hopes and wanting to taste the local cuisine. They had a pretty big menu to pick from. we had the Spicy soup with chicken (tom yiam soup) and the pad thai. the soup was good but the pad thai was flavorless. i think they forgot to add the peanut sauce.
