Sunset Restaurant — Restaurant in Mai Khao

Nice enough place. Food is good. Service is painfully slow, bordering on the non existent. We were one of the first in tonight and got our 4 dishes an hour and a half later. That's the second time we have tried and both the same. People were walking out because they could not even get a drinks order. Tables were left with dishes on. They do not seem to care. I would recommend walking through this one and going to the next one down called The Beach. Equally nice food and they seem to care about you. Service is good. On our first visit they gave us a complimentary bowl of fruit. Not sure The Beach is on Google...

A must when staying nearby. I found this place whilst researching nearby places to Sala Hotel, where we were staying. I was desperate to go here even just for a drink. We visited on a dark windy June afternoon for a drink on the way to 7eleven. We got spring rolls and satay and a drink. We carried on to Turtle village for supplies and ended up coming back here for dinner. I still think about this place months later and am looking at coming back next year. I will 100% come back multiple times. Super friendly people, beautiful place and food. Make sure you find room for mango sticky rice. Can't wait to come...

During our time in Phuket we are at some of the best restaurants on the island. But it won’t be any of them we talk about when we get home. It will be the night we walked along the beach and asked a guy for a table for two and he tried to order us a taxi!

We then sat and ate some lovey food which totalled a hefty £7!

The waiter literally ran up the beach with our cocktail orders when we made them.

It seems as if the restaurant is run by a family and every member of the team is full of smiles.

This is an unforgettable very simple dining experience that was a highlight...
