Bucintoro Restaurant Pizza — Restaurant in Patong

Considering all the good reviews I see here about this restaurant, I'm going to keep my review sober since I haven't been to this place multiple times, today was my first visit. Firstly the atmosphere inside the restaurant was not that great, it was a bit dull (if I'm being right). I'd give 2 stars to the overall atmosphere, it was a bit noisy too. Secondly I clearly felt significant heat inside the place. I saw that the air conditioning was working but clearly it was hot inside, I was sweating for sure. The fans were my savior as the ACs seemed useless. Regardless, the service was ok, no issues as such. Coming to the food, I tried the penne pasta with tomato sauce and I added chicken in it. To be honest, it was mediocre at best. It didn't seem flavoured with veggies or other ingredients and spices. The chicken was well cooked but plain. It seemed like a simple combination of pasta, tomato sauce and chicken pieces, nothing else. Basically it didn't seem like a restaurant quality dish. The pasta was cooked ok. I would not suggest opting for this dish although I haven't tried anything else, hence I can't really comment about the other pastas and pizzas. Overall, I'll give 3 stars...

It's delicious, but...

Upon entering the restaurant, I was disappointed with the ambiance. It was rather gloomy, and the tablecloths were dirty! The cutlery was placed on this very dirty tablecloth...

I was very hungry, but I didn't want to stay inside. I ordered takeout.

I would like to note that the staff is politely and I really liked the pizza. The menu is varied. The portions are also large! The pizza and the second course were brought to me in about 10 minutes.

I want to come back and see a clean restaurant next...
