The best meal I had in Phuket. We came across this place on Wong Nai (Thai Yelp) and we are so glad we did. Definitely a must especially when you’re looking to take a break from all the non traditional foods around Phuket. Just like many reviewers here, the experience was so amazing that we had to go back again the 2nd time.
The first night we ordered tamarind shrimp, stir fried malinja leaves and taro fish soup. They were all super delicious. The malinja leaves are traditional southern Thai ingredient so I highly recommend trying it! The way that the chef prepared the dish gave it rich smokey flavour and a bit of spice. My partner claims it is the best vegetable dish he’s ever had in his life.
For the second time, we ordered the malinja leaves again with masaman curry and nem(cured pork)fried rice. Again, everything tasted wonderful. You can see the amount of care the chef puts into the food as you watch him in the kitchen. He meticulously tastes all his dishes and made sure to plate every last bit for the customer. This place is a family run business which gives it a cozy feel like you’re eating at someone’s house! The flavours are authentic and exciting as I got to taste many new dishes I’ve never tried as I’m from central Thailand.
Overall an amazing dining experience. I’m not sure if they are fluent in English so please be patient and you’ll have some exceptional Thai food. They even remembered us the second night and apologize for the slow service on the first night as it was quite busy, which we really...

Went here on our last night and reworked the next day to squeeze in lunch before leaving because it was so good.
The beef massaman with roti was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.
Everything is made completely from scratch so it takes a little longer to come out but is well worth the wait.
Be warned if you don't like spice, this is a Thai restaurant for Thai people not tourists, so if you order anything with spicy in the title, they mean it. The owners are really friendly and speak quite good English and we spoke to them a bit. The chef was saying Thai food is meant to be spicy and it doesn't taste how it should without chilli, so he recommends people have a nonspicy dish rather than asking for a curry without spice.
A really nice touch was when he took pity on my girlfriend (who doesn't even eat Australian spicy and was trying to persevere with her spicy noodles) and brought out a taro/banana dessert.
Would go back to keep working through the...
Read moreThis place is a gem! It's tucked away in the back of a side street so most people will miss it just driving or walking by, so definitely keep an eye out for this place! Once you try it, you'll want to keep coming back.
The restaurant itself is pretty and unique.
The owner super nice and fun to talk to.
The food? AMAZING! I've visited this restaurant multiple times and I've never been unhappy with any of the items that I've ordered. I would definitely try some of the curries though! Some favorites are the Masaman, Penang, and Green curries with Roti. The papaya salad here is also very good, but you'll need to be able to handle the heat. This might be a bit challenging for those sensitive to spicy foods.
Oh, one thing that might put people off, is that it takes some time for the food prep. Come with some friends for good conversation, it'll take a while for your food to be ready.
This restaurant beats most places you'll find...
