My new friend Tunji was leaving to go back home to Australia in two days and I wanted to do something with him before he left. So he invited me to join him at Sahara Restaurant. Neither one of us have ever dined here before. When I walked into the restaurant (late), the owner was already talking with Tunji and I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to him as well as Sara who works there. The energy from our conversations was so good that I felt as if I've known them both all my life!
I wasn't really hungry when I arrived and thought I'd just have some water and chat it up a bit with Tunji but after seeing the menu I decided to try the chicken currie, eat just a little bit and take the rest back to the hotel.
The food came and it was a very large portion. Whoever was back in the kitchen preparing the chicken currie added alot of love to my meal because the flavor was there and it was simply delicious! I'm from America and I've never tasted a chicken currie dish filled with so much flavor. Long story short, there was nothing to take back to the hotel because I ate it all. I will definitely be returning to Sahara Restaurant a few more times before I go back to America and if You want an authentic taste that you want find anywhere else in Pattaya you should pay them a visit. Trust me it's worth it, You can't go...
Read moreWe had a nice meal there. The owner is very welcoming and we enjoyed hearing about his experiences in Thailand, Jordan and the USA. What would improve the overall experience a lot would be some Lebanese style toum (garlic mousse) and maybe a spicier chili paste. We've gotten really spoiled with those in the Lebanese restaurants in Bangkok and Pattaya, so now it's tough to eat Arabic food without them. Still a great meal, tho, and we would gladly...
