I visited this Arabic restaurant in Pattaya and tried their Kuwaiti Tabag lamb rice. The portion was huge and the rice was nicely spiced and fluffy, but the lamb itself was disappointing – it was served from the rib/rack, which made it quite dry and not as tender or flavorful as it should be. Traditionally, Tabag tastes much better with shoulder or shank cuts.
The side broth was very plain and watery, lacking the depth of a proper lamb stock. Garnishes like lime, chili, and spring onion were fresh, and they offered a small glass of mint tea, which was a nice touch, though very small.
The atmosphere is casual, more like a cafeteria than a traditional Arabic dining experience, and the presentation of dishes was quite basic.
