I am a little late in writing this review but it was always at the back of my mind. There was no way that I would not write this. I was visiting Thailand with my family in May and had an itinerary of Phuket, Pattaya and Bangkok. And as every Indian family, finding good Indian food is always the first priority. So our first place of stay was in Phuket and we had Indian food there too but little did I know that the greatest food moment of this trip was still to come.
On our first night in Pattaya, we happened to visit Karma, an outstanding Indian restaurant in the heart of Pattaya. Right from the word go, it was a feeling of being at home. We ate not just to fill our stomachs but satiate our minds as well. The food is amazing. It’s like you are eating in Delhi or Punjab. Authentic preparations, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. This was undisputedly the best food of our entire trip. And the proof of this lies in the fact that rather than exploring some other option, we went to Karma again next night. Here’s a little fun story. It was dry day and they were not allowed to serve alcohol till 12:00 am. We reached there at 11:00 pm, so we waiting for the clock to tick 12:01 and had our first drink. Just fun of the vacation.
Now comes the best part. As they say that any organisation is as good as the approach and mindset of its owner. So the reason the Karma is so good is that its owner Mr. Sahil Khurana is deeply involved in everything. He literally was going from table to table to have a chat and take the feedback. We spent some great time talking to him about different things and he was generous enough to give us his time. It was like being with a friend in another country. May be it was our Karma to explore Karma.
I don’t know if I’d ever go to Thailand again but if I’d do, Karma would be a prominent part of the itinerary.

Read moreI went with my wife here. On very first sight on this restaurant I felt this would be very expensive one and may not be offering delicious food as we get in India (South especially). But, once I stepped in it's completely other side of my thoughts !!
The name and quotes they wrote inside attracted me and the interior also so pleasant and beautiful. Welcoming and friendly staff. The moment I stepped inside I heard a famous Telugu song running it made me to feel like I am in a Andhra Restaurant. They were playing all Telugu love songs, I enquired the owner do they are Telugu people from South India, but they are Punjabi and a worker is Burmese who love Telugu songs 😊. She even learn 2 Telugu songs ! I saw most of the foreigners and also north Indian people enjoying Telugu songs much..
I went at almost 1.30am at midnight here, I expected dosa here but it's not the time for it so I ordered veg dum biryani... It was very tasty with little spicy, I enjoyed eating it. (No comparison with Hyderabad dum biryani !!) We can't find the taste of Andhra Biryani else where out of South India and in any other country which has South Indian restaurants. This is what I came to know after much experience by travelling.
I could expect liquid gravy along with biryani here which is must included in South India but never find offering this gravy in other Indian restaurants out of country.
I recommend everyone to go this restaurant and try as many dishes you can...their menu is also too good to explore.
And this is the only place I found name board in Telugu, Tamil and kannada languages !!! (Please correct the Telugu script if possible, it's not correct 🙂. దక్షిణ...
Read moreDining at Karma was one of the highlights of our trip! We were celebrating my sister's engagement there and it couldn't have been a better choice of food and restaurant to do so! The restaurant itself is spacious, bright, clean, and very well-air-conditioned. The staff was so friendly, quickly seating our large group of 9 by moving tables together, taking our orders, and serving just as swiftly and having no issues accommodating my sister's vegan food wishes with plenty of mouthwatering options us carnivores even eyed. Everything that was served was amazingly delicious. We ordered mutton vindaloo, chicken curry, fish masala, Naan, roti, and pakoras...it was a feast and everyone was loving it including our parents and my 3 kids (ages 5, 10, and 12). Individual spice tolerances were considered from mild for the littles to extra spicy for us adults. To top it off the owner Sahil stopped by to check on us. He was just as sweet kind and friendly as his staff and upon finding out we were celebrating an engagement treated us to a complimentary mango cream cake! The whole experience was perfect and so beautifully memorable in every way! We will most definitely return! Can see my sister and future brother-in-law celebrating their anniversaries at Karmas, too! We highly recommend stopping by for a real culinary treat! To Sahil and all the staff at Karmas - thank you for a most special and unforgettable engagement...
