Alby & Micky - Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in Pattaya City

This is the part of reviewing places I find the most difficult. However, this is constructive criticism.

We researched quite a few Italian places to eat in the Pattaya area, albeit there aren't that many, but we settled on this one because we tend to try and support small businesses.

The starters were poor, and the mozzarella cheese was tasteless. The bread was stale, and we ended up with a tuna salad, which we didn't order (the tomatos had seen better days to say the least) However, the prosciutto was actually fine and quite tasty.

I ordered the spaghetti bolognese for a main and my partner, who was obviously 2 steps ahead of me ordered Thai food. I also ordered a house red wine to accompany the bolognese, and the red wine was served freezing cold and would have been better used as vinegar.

This is NOT an Italian restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. It's basically a cafe that serves pizza and pasta, but masquerades as an authentic Italian eatery.

The cleanliness of the toilet was absolutely shocking for restaurant standards.

Went in looking for simple Italian meal with my girlfriend I ordered spaghetti Bolognese, my gf ordered the grilled fish which was actually quite good, the spaghetti on the other hand was simply over salted to the point I sent it back. They offered another spaghetti but by this point I had no confidence it would be any better. I'm not adverse to salt at all, but this was the only flavour that came through. I ordered a pork chop and was served a skinny undercooked thing, the server explained that it was cooked without salt or seasoning because they now thought I was sensitive to salt. I tasted, then sprinkled a little salt and ate what I could. you see the leftovers, I enjoy rare beef but not undercooked pork.

I gave up, called for check, paid 840฿ as no allowance was made for the inedible spaghetti. I never made a scene and was polite to staff throughout.

Must have been an off night but I'll never go back nor can I...

I have been thinking of going here for some time now and finally got round to it. I was looking forward to it but was disappointed.

Starter chicken wings, off the Thai menu were nice enough.

We both had the ssne main ciurse of fresh pasta parcels, I found the pasta to be a bit thick and chewy and the meat filling bland, possibly under seasoned. The herb foccacia was just a pizza base with dried herbs sprinkled on. Fairly tasteless.

Staff were pleasant but not attentive, got the order wrong. My gf meal was not delivered and we had to order again.

I saw a few pizzas come out which looked very nice, one customer complimented the chef. I wish I had ordered pizza now.

Prices are reasonable and there is Thai food available.

Based on my first experience I will probably stick to my usual Italian restaurant.
