This was THE go-to spot for breakfast for years but the current breakfast menu combined with their marketing and service tactics are a huge disappointment and make it a nearly impossible choice. Let me explain; If you have a member card you get an extra coffee refill. Their cheapest breakfast option and the only one that competes with other options around the area like Kung, Hideaway or Nikki Bar, is 99B. However, they will not allow a second coffee with that breakfast. Something not disclosed when purchasing the card by the way. Also, because of the pricing structure. You’re stuck paying 21B for a tip making it 120B for what is a very modest breakfast. Certainly not comparable to other options in the immediate vicinity. The next option up is 159B. This one is eligible for the coffee refill however, like the first, because of how the pricing structure is setup you’re stuck paying 180B with the tip since you’re certainly not going to tip only 1B. The 159B breakfast is DEFINITELY not worth 180B. Not remotely close to that. It’s terrible value actually. But, here are the two things that make it a real disappointment; 1- the scrambled eggs have the texture of a dry rag. They crank the heat on the grill and use old eggs and as a result the eggs are dry and grainy. It’s quite disgusting and very disappointing for such an expensive breakfast restaurant. 2- the wait staff has clearly been instructed to avoid offering a coffee refill at all cost. It’s really quite a petty and transparently aggressive tactic. Once you are finished eating your breakfast and have finished your coffee, you could literally sit there all day long and a waitress will not approach you, make eye contact or come anywhere near your table till the money is out for collection. They do everything possible to avoid offering or being asked for that second coffee and it’s such a transparently obvious...
Read moreI sat down on the outside next to the street so I don´t know about the inside of the restaurant. The owner handed me an menu and said that a waitress would come to take my order. The waitress was maybe not the friendliest but so far no complaints (many reviews on Google say that service is terrible). I tried the fish and chips and an apple crumble. Food was served in good time. Some of the fries (chips) wasn´t cooked enough. The fish was nice but didn´t taste anything. The amount of tartar sauce was tiny (so lucky for me it wasn´t to my taste). I also find it funny that when I ordered, the waitress informed me that the fish and chips was the daily special for a lower price but when I wanted the tartar sauce as in the menu I had to pay the ordinarie price. That is all well, I didn´t even know about any special but why call it a special if you remove items to make it cheaper? Just me thinking..... The apple crumble was probably prepared in the micro, including the vanilla sauce that was steaming hot. The crumble was like a uncooked pie (not a cruble) very doughy with almost no apple. It was like glue. I had only eaten a few bites of it when I started to pay my bill when the waitress snatched the plate without asking me if I was done. I still had a full drink left that she didn´t remove. I didn´t plan to eat anymore of the pie as it was like glue but I think she should have asked before removing it even if I started to pay. I don´t find the place to be extreamly cheap. There are many places in Pattaya at the same pricerange that have served me better food. Based on todays experience I wouldn´t eat there again, maybe just take a coke zero and watch people walking by. I was also really surprised to see so many good reviews about the food now when I write this. I can however promise that I didn´t expect any fine dining when I visited them, only simple food...
Read moreA Mixed Experience at a Promising Spot
I visited this restaurant with my husband for the first time after wanting to try it for quite a while. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The menu looked great, and the prices were reasonable—especially in such a busy area.
We placed our order and, while waiting, I started taking a few photos of the space to share a positive review later. I briefly got up from our table to capture a better angle. Suddenly, a waitress yelled at me, asking if I had permission to take photos.
I was quite shocked and confused. Instead of approaching me politely to explain their concerns, she chose to raise her voice, which made the situation uncomfortable. I even assured her that I would delete or crop out any people who happened to be in the photos. There was no sign anywhere stating that photography is not allowed, so the reaction felt excessive.
They later explained that they had a bad experience with someone taking photos and leaving a negative review. I understand the concern, but as a paying customer who came in with good intentions, I felt quite disrespected. If photography is an issue, a clear sign or a polite reminder would help avoid misunderstandings like this.
On the bright side, the two dishes we ordered were delicious and generously portioned. The location is excellent—right in central Pattaya—which makes it a great spot for a tasty breakfast any...
