Nestled just steps away from Pattaya's vibrant Walking Street, Fra Pattaya proved to be a culinary gem that my family and I stumbled upon. Our dining experience at this charming establishment was marked by an array of exquisite flavors, impeccable seasoning, and a welcoming staff that made us feel right at home.
Our culinary journey commenced with a delectable spread that left our taste buds dancing with delight. The fried shrimp, perfectly crispy and succulent, set the tone for the culinary adventure that followed. The fried rice with chicken, infused with the distinct flavors of the wok, offered a symphony of taste that was both satisfying and comforting. Complementing these delights was a vegetable medley that tantalized our senses with its vibrant colors and textures, showcasing the kitchen's prowess.
Each dish was a testament to the meticulous attention paid to seasoning, resulting in an ensemble that truly captured the essence of Thai cuisine. The dragonfruit and mango smoothies provided a refreshing respite, with the mango variant standing out for its exceptional rendition of this beloved Thai classic.
The staff's warmth and hospitality were evident from the moment we stepped through the door. Despite a minor delay in our order, the staff's prompt communication and genuine apology for the inconvenience were appreciated. The anticipation only heightened our excitement, and the dishes that eventually graced our table were well worth the brief wait.
What added to the charm of Fra Pattaya was its pocket-friendly pricing. Our family of four savored the delightful fare and left with satisfied smiles, all for a mere 880 Thai Baht. The combination of quality, quantity, and value made our experience even more enjoyable.
In conclusion, Fra Pattaya encapsulates the heart of Thai cuisine, offering an authentic culinary experience that marries tradition with innovation. Situated near the iconic Walking Street, it presents a delightful opportunity to immerse oneself in Thai flavors and warm hospitality. Should you seek an enchanting dining escapade characterized by genuine flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, a visit to Fra Pattaya would be well...
Read moreCome here for a burst of flavours into your Thai experience. Situated quite near the walking street, this place has a wide range of options to choose from. While here, we were lucky to be served by one cheerful lady who was happy to suggest to us the best items from the menu. The menu which is mostly full of photos in itself needs some time to be understood. Even though the language barrier existed, it didn't stop the cheerful lady from making us understand the cuisine and what is best. We felt happy to be served by her. One of my friends, ordered beef chilly. As it arrived, this friend of mine, due to his intense intelligence , assumed that it wasn't beef and thought that it was some other meat and convinced me and another friend that it was something we had ordered. After we gulped it all down, this beef(which was hard for me, as i don't like spicy food and what i thought of to be something else) did we note that it was beef and not pork or anything else. Now this enlightenment, disappointed my friend as his hungry for beef' tummy is now without this desired beef. Due to this unexplained turn of events we had some exchange of words that ended up with me and him in a state of beef. Our friendship ended up in beef over that super spicy beef. But it was one beef that couldn't have been avoided between us and also into my belly. We settled the beef later and lucky for us, continued our trip like nothing happened 💥 Except for this beef, what ever i had tried from this restaurant was an explosion of flavours that i have never ever had an opportunity to devour before. Even the beef chili was good. It had its own very different flavour. Just that it was too spicy for me. I would recommend this place to any person who wishes to try out some authentic food after an eventful walk along...
Read moreWas hard to find a Thai restaurant where we were situated as the area had far too many Indian and Korean joints.....and we wanted to try some Thai food, you know as we were in Thailand! So we found this place after walking around the block. It a looked simple enough place, but we ventured in anyway.
Was quite busy with locals and ex-pats alike, which says a lot. The menu was ridiculously massive, but it had photos of all the food so was quite helpful. I went for the roasted duck with rice, and the sausage bacon fried rolls, my friend has a seafood dish and we both had two cokes. Food was served a little slow, but that was ok as the restaurant was well ventilated and had a good atmosphere. Everyone happy to eat good food I guess.
Food came and the portions were small enough but they were quite tasty. The food was well cooked and delicious, and the total bill came to about 11: Euros 7 cents, which was really good value for 3 dishes (albeit small) and drinks. If we were hungrier we would have ordered more, but it was just the right amount to fill us.....
Good value and decent dishes, I will be back if I am ever again in Pattaya. Recommended if...
