Pattaya Beer Garden — Restaurant in Pattaya City

I have been here many times over the years and it has actually been a favorite spot for me. But on this trip I have found it disappointing. I realize that costs have gone up everywhere but this is too much. Actually its not the cost that bothers me now about this place but what you get for it is very disappointing. I am finding that the plates of food are half the size they were about a year and a half ago when I was here. One other thing... If you look at the pics I'm posting I ordered the item in the menu pic which looks quite tasty. What I received is in the other pic. these are not only not the same but not even close. When I asked what was up with what I received and that it looked absolutely nothing like what the menu pic was I was told yes that it the same thing. I am not blind or stupid but these two items are not the same thing. Then I was told that they have changed cooks. Well might I suggest that you change the menu!! It does not reflect what you get. Having said all this I will probably go back in for another meal or two on this trip just because the location is great and I have had many good past experience's here. Maybe its time to look for another nice spot to eat by the water?

Update: May 2nd 2025, Well I normally would not do what I am going to do today but this place earned my update today. I was here last night. I ordered a stir-fried chicken dish and a vegetable dish. I had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone came over to my table. Ok, not a big deal. But when they did come they were totally unwelcoming. More like a "what do you want" . Ok fine. I ordered. When my food arrived the chicken was so salty I absolutely could not eat it! I left most of it on the plate. It was just awful. And for the second time in the last two trips I was basically told to leave!! WTF! The last time I was in here a few days ago I had breakfast. After I was done the waitress ASKED ME TO PAY and took everything off the table right after I was done eating. She said "you pay". There were other open tables around me! It was not packed. This really pissed me off. But last night I gave them another chance. And last night they pushed me out again asking me to pay!!! WTF is going on in this place?? When I paid the waiter he asked if I was done with the chicken because most of it was left. I told him that the chicken was too salty to eat. It was awful. His response....a quiet "sorry". Then he took my money and left the table with it. There was no "oh well can we remake it for you?" There also was no "oh ,sorry we'll take it off the bill".

Look, I have given this place many chances in this and my last trips here about 6 months ago. And why did I do that? Well here is the reason. This place a few years ago used to be fantastic! The waitress girls were all great. The greeted you, welcomed you and you felt it when you arrived. They were fun and playful and you got the sense that they liked working there and with the customers. You never felt rushed. But now!! Forget about it. They look like they are not happy that you came there to bother them. In the land of smiles there are no smiles to be found here. And apparently the new policy weather official or not is get them out of her as fast as you can. Also they get what they get weather it is good food or not. Just take it, pay for it and shut up. And if you don't like it don't come back. That it what I feel from this place now. It is a completely different place than it was just a few short years ago. I don't really understand how they are getting any good reviews anymore at all. They suck, big time. I don't recall having to write a review this bad for anyplace but they really earned it and deserve it! I have been to this place for the last time. No more chances for this place. The romance is totally over as I remember the taste of chicken so salted I could not even eat it and their horrible response to that. There are other restaurants that I have reviewed around her that are wonderful. And consistently so. Don't waste...

What a disappointing experience!! First let me say this!! I have been to Pattaya beer garden numerous times over the years and enjoyed every previous occasion with good and efficient service and great food!! This place is one of the many reasons I make a point of visiting Pattaya!! Tonight was in complete contrast to my many previous experiences and was to my mind a very below average experience!!

1. staffing levels seemed too low and staff inexperienced or a combination ( my observation of staff is that they were all doing their best)
2. once seated I had to request a menu ( after 10 min of waiting)
3. the food service was uncoordinated with main meal served with entrees meal of ham and cheese bread served last!! The hot dish of fish and vegetables arrived but no rice, the rice came later with the ham and cheese bread.

The world is in major trouble if in a Asian country and major rice growing region the rice is not ready to be served with the mains!!

The French fries I ordered for my daughter arrived cold!! ( how long had they been sitting before served 4) the food didn’t arrive until approx 1 hour after ordering

Perhaps there still is an after effect from Covid in obtaining staff but I urge the owners of this establishment to rectify the situation as I love coming to your establishment for a meal with my family!! Would I try the Beer garden again… Hell yes!! I’ve had too many great experiences previously to completely write the Beer Garden off my list!!

I’m putting tonight’s experience as a one off!!

I hope the owners take my assessment as constructive and don’t take it personally and endeavor to rectify the situation!’
