J’Noy Seafood on Walking Street is the ultimate definition of a tourist trap. Let me paint the picture for you: I asked for a simple substitution—shrimp instead of chicken in tamarind sauce. Pretty straightforward, right? Wrong. The waiter, a man in his 40s with a mushroom haircut and a full head of grey hair (clearly a hairstyle choice he should’ve reconsidered decades ago), decided to assume I was a clueless drunk farang and didn’t even bother asking how much shrimp I wanted. He just dumped over a kilo of prawns on my plate without a word. What’s the damage? A bill jacked up from 250 baht to an outrageous 900 baht! Here’s the kicker: their menu has the price for prawns scratched over in faded marker, so you can barely read it. And this guy conveniently “forgot” to show me that sneaky menu. Of course, it says 700 baht per kilo, but apparently, the house policy is to scam you with extra prawns like it’s a free-for-all. To top it all off, I specifically asked for cashews in the dish and got none. Zero. Nada. Not even one sad cashew to stare at while I fumed. The place itself? A DUMP. Smells like sewage, the food is mediocre at best, and the staff? Let’s just say honesty isn’t in their training manual. I ended up yelling at that scammy waiter for 20 minutes before he begrudgingly adjusted the price. I even gave the poor girl working there my 300 baht in change because I felt bad—it’s not her fault the manager (or owner) is running a clown show. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being lied to, overcharged, and eating subpar food in a place that smells like a broken toilet. J’Noy Seafood? More like J’Nope Seafood. Never again.

Got ripped for a lobster at 6200 Baht! Was like rubber and so over cooked! Tables are rotten and filthy. No cutlery when we were served food and no serviettes. Situated on walking street so no parking! The manager told me 4000 Baht then charged me 6200! When I questioned he said 4000 per kilo! I would not have minded if it was cooked nice, but so over cooked like rubber. Be careful here folks, get a final price not how much per kilo! To be honest find a real seafood Resturant, as this chef obviously is not a skilled seafood chef! Total crap don’t even bother to try! 🙏

Everything was great, lobster 10/5. Egg fried rice should have little bit more taste but it was still good. Maybe it was just me because I love flavors 😊 Nice atmosphere, while feasting you can do people watching on walking street. Here have also Tunnel nightclub at same entrance.

Imma be honest but this restaurant is not really good… the food feels taste like frozen food that was recooked and the sashimi stick dish…. you can buy that in any convenience store and it tastes the same. The dishes in general are terribly ordinary. I kind of regret coming here. Tbh mc donalds would have hit better…. If you‘re a tourist don‘t waste your time coming for this mid as hell food… Good thing about this restaurant is the location by the beach and the pretty scenery/aesthetic and the free wifi. So I‘ll...
