JUMBO SUSHI — Restaurant in Pattaya City

A good find in Pattaya - with a total of 10 seats (including 3 counter) at this corner restaurant, you may find yourself waiting for a seat.

As of writing (2/Jan/2018) they are only open Monday to Wednesday, 17:00 to 22:00. By 20:00 they ran out of rice, so your best bet is to go early.

That said, it's a no frills restaurant that packs a pretty good punch. Tastes that are nearly the same as in Japan but for a fraction of the cost.

I ordered the Chirashi-don and it came with all the usual various raw seafood items which tasted good; it came with miso soup as well.

I give it a 4 instead of 5 because, especially considering the word Sushi is in the restaurant name, the Shari just didnt have the correct amount of vinegar required to complement the raw fish and complete the flavors in one's palette.

I'll definitely be back to try...

How can people say positive things on this restaurant? A chef cannot deal with many people ordering food here. I ordered only 2 pieces of sushi and a bowl of salad (SEE THE PICS ATTACHED), and there were 2-3 other groups of people at that time. Just to wait for the 2 dishes, I had to wait for almost 30 minutes. Normally, Japanese restaurants don't take that much of time and cooking quickly is a basic responsibility of a chef. I know sometimes waiting makes sense, but I was super disappointed by the fact that only one chef had to deal with cooking multiple dishes. Plus, you need to check the receipt carefully before making a payment. The waiter miscalculated the 2 dishes, OMG. I even took a photo of the bill. How could she charge for 2 sushi sets? Jumbo Sushi is a Japanese owned restaurant that serves authentic Japanese Dons and sushis.

The fish they serve are fresh, moist, and soft while their Dons are very savoury and flavourful. Complimentary tea is also provided as a self service option

The menu size is quite bug for a local Japanese restaurant and varied enough to satisfy most Japanese cravings.

The restaurant's decoration is a little subpar but clean and does a well enough job for a pleasant dining experience.

Staff are a little quiet, but they are professional. Orders mustbe written on a little note and givin to the staff whom will then promptly prepare your meal for you.

Prices are great foe the quality of fish we got. Definitely a place we'd frequent for local...
