I was bullied and intimidated by the front of house manager on my last day there for giving her a facial expression of shock after she was rude to the table. I want to be clear. I was with my girlfriend and no one whistled at the staff. Your reply is demeaning and untruthful
She claimed I insulted her by giving her a facial expression of a “whistle”, but there was no noises, and I was purely shocked by her attitude after we asked for a menu 3 times. After she called me rude, and said she was insulted, she argued with James, hovered over my table and made me feel very uncomfortable. I have traveled to over 8 countries in southeast asia, and have never experienced this kind of cultural bullying. We arrived on September 10th and ate at the restaurant every day we were there. My friend James recommended the place and guided me there each time. We ate breakfast and lunch there. The food is excellent, timing is good, and I was impressed by the simple yet elegant nature of the food and restaurant. We arrived at 12:10 p.m. on my last day with my girlfriend, who is also Thai. James was already there. We were in the middle of the sales floor. Typically we like to order our drinks first, and then the food later. We ordered our drinks from a different server than the bully girl. When we were prepared to order food, I needed a menu, but it was taken from us, so we had to ask for a new one. When we asked for the third time, the front end manager seemed to ignore our request, like she had an issue with me and didn’t want to serve me. I was in the middle of searching for hotels at my next destination in Chiang Mai, and was not paying attention to her, but I noticed her attitude was one of anger and rudeness, and she was quick to respond and her answers were short and angry. I was shocked by this, so I showed a face of shock as a reaction to her demeanor. She yelled at me “You are Rude” and then walked away. James tried to talk to her, and she said I was insulting and rude, and that she said something about bargirls being bad in Thai, which was clearly directed at my Thai girlfriend. Thailand is not my country, but I would have fought someone in the street in the United States for talking to me like that. Since I am foreigner, I maintained silence. My order arrived very late, and for the rest of the meal, this front end manager / server, hovered over our table in a rude intimidating manner. She said something like “teach him to insult me” In summary, I was shocked by all this. I own a retail chain in the USA, and while we have difficult customers in our industry, we never act like this. I have terminated employees for less than this. I have also served at several restaurants over the years, and in all my years, never encountered anything like this. I never leave negative reviews, but I think everyone should know that as long as that lady works at this restaurant, you should not go there. It...
Read moreI have now been in restaurant and 5 mins and no menu it's like I'm invisible will wait and see how long before I actually get served person walks in after me served straight away for such a small restaurant not a great start. Camera on wall will support this. I'm not in a hurry so will wait!!!! Now been acknowledged 7 mins in now have menu. Decided against breakfast which the options looked good but decided to go for the pa nang chicken. Young lady serve second time for order polite efficient taller than the other young lady so Well done 👏. 1247 time of order so let's see the quality. Food arrived at 1311 so not the greatest 24 mins but acceptable in my opinion anything less than 30 is ok. Flavour was tasty but tame. I asked for super spicy and the dish did not provide this. No one checked on me or if the meal was okay so i can only assume that is something the establishment doeant do which also let it down from a service point of view. Their was a generous portion of chicken. I would not put off anyone from visiting as it's spotless. There was no interaction regarding did I need another drink or a desert when clearing the table so I waited a few mins then asked for the bill. I used the washroom and it was immaculate. There is also a small outside eating area which is pleasant. I am unsure if I would return but that shouldn't stop people supporting or...
