Lee's Diner Pattaya — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Needing a break while friends went to partake in the local wildlife, I was originally looking for a street vendor. However, I stumbled upon Lee’s which originally looked like a beer bar. Noticing the menu outside, it contained a wide variety of western and Thai foods, perfect for a night of drinking. I went with three Thai dishes and was pleasantly surprised at the heat, as well as the flavor. The som tum was a huge mound of papaya, and the Tom yum was enormous enough for two people. OK, it's a street corner Cafe, so we're not talking a candle lit dinner with silk tablecloths experience or anything. But you've got lots of choices--pizza, calzones, noodles, lots of Thai dishes, smoothies, coffee, and a lot more. I'd say there were 100 things on the menu, maybe more. Prices were totally reasonable.

But it's cosy, with an open air feel and covered roof. And the atmosphere was light and fun. All the wait staff and cooks were smiling and seemed happy to be helping people have a tasty meal. That matters to me and just added to the nice vibe of the place. Would eat...

The food was good. I would rate it a 3 on that fact but it loses a star for the end of the experience. I ordered a meal set and spring rolls, but when I got the check, there were 4 charges. There was a 65 baht charge they could not explain, I got that taken off. Then there was a charge for my drink. The promotion came with a can of soda; I ordered a diet Coke. After the bill came, they said soda didn't include diet coke, so I had to spend an extra 60 baht...
