I recently had the opportunity to dine at Raj Darbar Restaurant near Pattaya, Thailand, and it was truly an outstanding experience. The restaurant offers an authentic Indian dining ambience with elegant décor reflecting traditional Indian artistry, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
The staff were highly professional, courteous, and attentive throughout the service. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with genuine hospitality and guided seamlessly to my table. The team demonstrated excellent knowledge of the menu, offering recommendations with confidence and ensuring all dietary preferences were carefully noted.
I ordered their signature Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan, and every bite reflected rich, authentic flavours, balanced spices, and high-quality ingredients. The Dal Makhani was cooked to perfection, with a creamy texture and deep, comforting taste. Their freshly prepared breads were soft and aromatic, and the Biryani had a beautiful blend of spices with tender meat, making it one of the best Indian biryanis I have tasted in Thailand.
The overall cleanliness and hygiene standards maintained at the restaurant were commendable, which is essential in the current global hospitality context. The dining space was organised and well-managed even during busy hours, indicating efficient operational practices by the management.
In summary, Raj Darbar Restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine in Pattaya, whether for a family dinner, business lunch, or special occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant to all visitors and residents looking for genuine Indian flavours with professional service and a comfortable dining...
Read moreOh, where to begin with this culinary masterpiece in disappointment? Visited this Indian restaurant, thinking it might actually be a decent place. Spoiler: it wasn’t.
Opted for the thali, which I thought would be a good way to sample a variety of flavors. Turns out, it was more like a sampler of blandness. Every dish lacked any semblance of taste—impressive, really, how they managed that. The tandoori roti? Half-cooked, just the way no one likes it—soft and chewy like an undercooked pancake.
Now, the pièce de résistance: You take the thali (a limited, uninspired menu) and they forbid sharing. No extra plate allowed, because, of course, the only way to enjoy terrible food is alone. I mean, why even offer a thali if you’re so worried about ticket size? Especially when the ambiance and service suggest you should be paying far less than you are.
And if you're an Indian tourist thinking this place will bring you a taste of home, oh, it will. It’ll remind you why you should’ve just stayed home instead.
Even at a 90% discount, I’d still save my appetite and money. So, in conclusion, my review is: don't...
Read moreIncredible real Indian food. Wonderful service from two very helpful and enthusiastic servers.
The food is flavourful, authentic, perfectly spiced, well presented and very tasty. I had a delicious Masala Dosa and then the Hyderabadi Byriani, which was outstanding. The best byriani I've ever eaten.
Plus this place gets a special mention for their amazing Fresh Lime Soda. The best and most refreshing way to cool down from a sticky and hot evening.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Go and find out for yourself, you...
