LK Royal Wing — Hotel in Pattaya City

Stayed on fifth floor. The room was big and comfortable. Plenty of storage space. Electric outlet on both sides of bet but had to disconnect lamp on the other side to have access. Bed was good with four pillows and Ottoman sofa/chair at the end and also a chair on the other side. Microwave and kettle plus dining plates and soup bowls, forks and spoons in the cupboard. The shower was good. Room and hallways kept very clean. The swimming-pool on the roof was great with nice breeze but could use some fixing up and a good paint job here and there. Many of the tiles in the pool starting to fall of and the the sun-beads either broken or without mattress. The waterfall/rock fixture in the pool probably stoped working years ago and is broken down and needs to go. The elevator also could use some paint job. Laundry opposite the entrance with coin machines also if you prefer to do it yourself cheaper. Little further that way are some good restaurants and barber shops on the alley (Pattaya Klang 9 Alley) leading to Central road and there on the corner is a great little Pizza place (Pizza n pizza Pattaya). Two minutes walk to Soi Buakhao with all the entertainment and restaurants you can think of and only 8 minutes walk to Central Shopping Mall. All in all very good place to stay, for a good price and perfectly situated in the centre of Pattaya but without a through traffic in front of the hotel. Just need a little TLC...

So the last time I was here the hotel wasn't bad, this time I had all kinds of problems, there was some red stuff on my blanket, it looked like blood, I asked if they could change it, and they told me flat out no, I went to the manager, they said no, they change it once every 2 days and won't change the sheet no matter what it seems, so I through it on the floor and didnt mess with it blanket. Then when I brought some company over.... ahem... they said I only signed up for one guest and they needed 500 baht for 2 guest, I told them we can take care of this in the morning, but they refused they kept calling the room, sent a guy to knock for 30 minutes at 4am, and later the next day they said they made a mistake, just like I did going to this hotel again. Then I went to lunch with some friends and came back to change clothes before we went out, probably 2 hours, they put it down for me to pay an extra 500 baht because of that, they explained that if you bring more than one person to your room to stay it is 500, which I knew because of the day before, but they where there for less then 2 hours and they acted like they didnt understand and issued a 500 baht bill, which they took out of my deposit and acted like they where oblivious to what I was saying, this place is looking for any excuse to charge u more, I...

Hotel is ok, a bit dirty in parts. The main issue i had was the front desk rang me up at 0100 and woke me up. I could not understand what the person was saying as the room phone had a lot of interference. The woman then came to my room as i had not signed the credit card slip despite the transaction going through successfully and me asking on check in that it was fully completed and we could go to our rom( sometimes i do not need to sign a receipt). why it could not wait until the morning i will never know but it is utterly bizarre to disturb a guest from their sleep at that hour.
