Matador Buakhao — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Well this venue has the BEST live music ever. The band plays Sepultura which I never heard in a live music place, so amazingly cool. One of the guitarists there is so good he could probably have replaced Dimebag in Pantera!

I have been there many times BUT I am not sure I will ever go again because of the staff attitude

The drinks are cheap and we even get the owner buying us a round last time we went since we had a great time. There was a guy dressed as a frog that we tipped 500 baht and we also tipped the band 1000 baht.

Went back yesterday they all remembered us (obviously) And then it started, we had not 1 lady checking our drinks but THRRREEEEEE ladies, every 2 minutes asking for us to order more. I did buy my gin tonic with a beer (for me alone) so I thought they will leave me alone because of the beer trick (can't see what's left because of the beer condom) guess what they were lifting my beer every 2 minutes. I stayed about 1 hour and a half, I spent 2000 baht (and about the same for my friend), paid drink to one of the THRRREEEE ladies annoying us ALL THE TIME, well that didn't work either.

It doesn't matter if you drink fast or slow they WILL ANNOY YOU! We were celebrating so each round I will order 5 drinks for 2 people drinking!

Since I love the music there I think next time I will straight talk to the owner and beg so they will leave me alone and enjoy my time And will probably order a full bottle of gin they should leave me alone ...

So best live music in town but by far the worse WORSE WOOOORRRSSEEE customer experience ever And I have been in Thailand 25 years It really sucks Put the price of your drinks higher then BUT LET THE PEOPLE ENJOY THEIR TIME!

So we left and spent our time and money in another place where the music...

The best live rock music bar in Pattaya!

2 excellent bands - the first plays from about 7pm until 11pm. The next until closing time (after 3am).

The first band has surely the best guitarist playing in Pattaya - he’s brilliant and has great style!

Matador Buakhao has filled a gap in the market by combining a live rock music bar with excellent rock bands, hostess bar with ladies available to drink, with a touch of Agogo as they dance. However, there is no great pressure to buy lady drinks - if you just want a relaxing night of great live rock music that’s fine!

The 3 Thai owners are in the bar most nights and are great hosts greeting guests.

Protect yourself at all times. Women will gang up on you and pretend they will leave with you so that you keep buying drinks for a bunch of hypocrites. At the end of the night, after you spend a bunch of money, she will come up with some excuse as to why she can't go. They're all in the game. They want you to buy them drinks (which they drink extremely fast) AND tip them. Thailand is the land of (scarce) smiles, but they will cost you as I have never seen people so lacking in character.
