Nadia’s Kitchen & Sports Lounge — Restaurant in Pattaya City

I went there this morning for breakfast. This is a seriously impressive place. I've got a list of cafes and bars that kept coming up while researching Pattaya online. Nadia's is one of them.

I ordered a green curry and....wow...the flavour and complexity was amazing. I'm not a meat eater, so switched the chicken or pork for prawns. There was a small surcharge. Surprising, but whatever. The establishment knows the economics to make the dish better than I do. Anyway, my dish wouldn't be of better quality at any cafe anywhere in the world.

Service was excellent. Staff are obviously well trained. They will approach and help immediately if eye contact is made, but otherwise leave you alone. The waitress's English ability was strong.

The music/TVs were at the perfect volume. You could mentally tune in or out. As a raging introvert I was happy! I also liked how clean and well maintained everything is. Lots of fans keeping the place cool. Also, that they open at 7am. And there's a 1,000 Baht price cap for ringing the bell. Along with a wheelchair ramp. The owner proudly displays his Line ID code to contact directly with problems. Attention to detail....tick, tick, tick. So much to like. Even the plates felt spotlessly clean.

If I was forced to nit pick, just for the sake of this review, I'd complain about the length of the walk from Beach Road. Nobody forced me to walk, and I'm here for the marathon next week, so I have no case!

They presumably offer WiFi (it was on my phone's list of possible connections), but couldn't see a password displayed anywhere. Maybe I just didn't see it. I could have asked (raging introvert!) but didn't even need to use the internet anyway 🙂. It's a niggling little thing when WiFi is offered but the password isn't displayed anywhere. I sat near the entrance so maybe it was written elsewhere.

Thirdly, I was looking for a wastepaper bin under my table to throw my serviette in. Couldn't see one. Maybe it's too many years living in China and not common in Thailand. I felt weird leaving the serviette on my plate. Maybe it's a China / Thailand thing.

Would I return? It's not a theoretical debate. I'm definitely returning there before I leave, and recommend anyone reading this to...

Final Update: 01/05/25 Friendly service Still a good place for affordable meals Food is always a roll of the dice. Some days it will be perfectly cooked, and others way over cooked Some suggestions: Sunday Roast: both times(12/29 and 01/05) beef was tough and chewy. Chicken was moist and tender. Choose your Breakfast Options: Poach eggs were always overcooked and clumped together. chicken avocado salad. Chicken tender and avocado was ripped this time, but also , never consistent. Black coffee is always good Enjoy

Cons: I’ve visited 4 x’s after the first review. Each time the food were way over cooked: pork chops, peri chicken , liver and eggs. Smoking was allowed inside the restaurant . Minus 2 stars. 👎👎👎

First review Excellent Service and Food Sunday carving 249 baht . Several choices of meat. I ordered Chicken, beef with Brussels sprouts and carrots . Chicken breast and roast beef were surprisingly, very tender. Sprouts were overcooked , but the broccoli was perfect.

Best Breakfast bargain in the area. 7 items for 149 baht and 10 for 199 baht. I ordered: 4 poached eggs, 2 x bacons and grilled tomatoes. Everything was exceptional.

Chicken Avocado Salad. Made to order . Fresh , tender and satisfying, but never consistent.

Watermelon/Lime smoothie 59 baht was refreshing

The waitress were all patient and accommodating.

Nadia’s kitchen’s staff were friendly and welcoming, it was quite busy when we arrived about 2pm, several tables had “reserved” signs, surprised to see for a mid week visit.

Ordered “big breakfast” ฿219, but when it arrived, it wasn’t that big lol.

Baked beans, bacon, eggs were all on point, bonus to have proper mushrooms too!!

My English breakfast came with complimentary OJ however, there was no option to change this for a coffee 🤷🏻‍♂️ IDK why not, as this is usually standard for any breakfast.

Unfortunately my sausages were disappointing 😕 tasteless, not good.

Overall it’s an average rating for today’s visit, our dining experience was negatively affected, as it was too hot inside restaurant, fans...
