I recently visited Pelmeni Club and had a mixed experience. I ordered Salmon Tartare and Salmon Pelmeni. Unfortunately, the Pelmeni was served first, which is not ideal since the cold starter (Salmon Tartare) should come before the main course. By the time the Tartare arrived, the Pelmeni had already started to cool down, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the soy sauce in the Tartare was completely unnecessary and overpowered the dish.
The Pelmeni itself was tasty, but the portion size was quite small, leaving me still hungry. I decided to order another dish, which was shrimps in creamy sauce, expecting it to be a hot appetizer. Sadly, the shrimps were undercooked, even though the flavor was nice. On the positive side, the restaurant didn't charge me for the undercooked shrimps.
Overall, out of the three dishes, I was only satisfied with one. The mix-up in the order of serving, the unnecessary soy sauce in the Tartare, and the undercooked shrimp were significant drawbacks. Despite this, the settings were nice and the staff was courteous. I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5. There's potential here, but they need to iron out some kinks in their service and food...
Read moreI recently visited Pelmeni club and I must say, it felt like a culinary journey back home. The food, reminiscent of homemade delights, left me thoroughly impressed. From the succulent chicken cutlets to the flavorful Lula kebab and the refreshing Olivier salad, each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authenticity.

The borscht seemed salty and raw and not much solid food in it. The dumplings were a little hard and I didn’t like the taste. My wife had a Thai dish that was too sweet. She choked down about a third of it. Although the menu was in English, the staff could not understand. Also it was expensive. I would never...
