This place is a pattaya institution, with a loyal following. I decided to try their famous ribs and here is my verdict: first of all, pork ribs can be prepared in many ways. They don’t necessarily need to be done in a smoker. one can get good results by doing a combo of grilling it, then low and slow in the oven or reverse of this. I peaked in the Shack and saw a gas grill so i’m pretty confident this is how its done here. The result is not the best ribs i’ve had but it was good and satisfying Also a good value for what you get. The meal deal came with two sides so I chose steak fries and simple steamed veggies. Surprisingly the veggies were outstanding, usually they are an afterthought, nuked to death in most places but they were still crisp yet cooked through. I appreciate details like this. The ribs were done not ‘fall off da bone’ which was correct in my opinion, they need to have a little cling to the bone and bit of a bite. So the kitchen lady gets another Hi-five. It came with a mysterious sprinkling of dry sage?? couldn’t really tell but added a bit of intrigue to an otherwise standard bbq sauce. Overall a good meal. I would give the ribs 4 stars and everything else 5 stars, so lets call it...

Unfortunately the RibShack is a little bit hidden in a back street of Pattaya but their ribs are a gift made in heaven, I've been there a couple of times pre-covid with my dad and we both were extremely satisfied and I went full gluttony once with the 1.5 BBQ racks that almost finished me and not the other way round...
