Journeyhub Pattaya Central — Hotel in Pattaya City

2 years on and I have returned for another stay at what is now called the Journeyhub Pattaya Central hotel.

Rooms are good, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed, reasonable TV channels and efficient but small bathroom.

This hotel is very convenient for visiting many parts of Central Pattaya and is reasonably priced at about £25 per night per room.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: I stayed three nights at the 'Oakwood Hotel Journeyhub Pattaya' and have to give it two ratings. I will explain why.

The room was very good - comfortable bed, good size, good TV with fair range of channels and efficient A/C. The shower was good but no hot water to the sink, and restrictive size when sitting on the toilet. The daily buffet breakfast was reasonable, not good, not bad. Based on this I would have given the Oakwood Hotel Journeyhub Pattaya a 3 or 4 star rating.

However, our stay was greatly affected by road works every day around the hotel, and although this is certainly not the fault of the hotel, they could have alleviated the problem for guests but didn't. Every time we entered or left the hotel meant a long walk through the muddy roadworks. Finally, leaving the hotel in our car was a nightmare. See my pictures to get the picture.

The staff were not particularly helpful or welcoming, and the lift did not function properly one day. On top of this, during my stay I checked the prices of similar hotels around Oakwood Hotel Journeyhub Pattaya, such as Travelodge and Centra, and found that Oakwood Hotel was nearly 50% dearer. Not worth it! I have also noted that the Oakwood Hotel prices are now similar to the other hotels mentioned. Taking that into account I would give a 2 star rating.

So, with all the work going on in Pattaya at present, you take a chance and pay your money - and hope it...

I have a lot a great things to say about this hotel. First of all I love the location of the hotel. Only 5 min walk to beach. Front desk desk were all amazing but 2 girls that help make our stay amazing was Meya and View. They were all very helpful but these 2 girls stood out the most for me at the front desk. They also are part of my other great experience here at this hotel. They gathered like 6-8 staff at the hotel and came up.to the room with a small birthday cake singing happy birthday to her making her feel really special. I was shocked because they did this on thier own. It literally brought tears to my eyes. Maya was holding the cake and View caught the moment on video. Thank you so much for everything you did to make my wife remember her birthday. The last person I want to highlight is Lakshmi in the restaurant. I know she was pretty new at the hotel and she felt bad because when we were at the pool ordering drinks and food sometimes it took a very long time but she always had a smile on her face and I really appreciated it. When we were done she would always come to our room so we could pay our bill there and not worry about bringing money to the the pool. She even asked when we were leaving and what time because she wanted to physically come down just to say good bye in person. She really help make our stay very enjoyable and I want to say thank you to her for all her help. If there Is a way to give her a bonus or recognize her for her excellent service I would...

What a beautiful and guest-friendly place with friendly staff in all departments.

I had the pleasure to stay here with my family. The place is close to Pattaya Night Bazaar and Pattaya Beach. The hotel and its surroundings are clean. The option for Indian food, especially vegetarian, is a blessing.

Receptionist: Rose – I spoke to her before I booked the hotel. She was super helpful and friendly. When I met her, she took extra effort to ensure my queries were answered properly and with patience. Moreover, she is super friendly—a right person in the right job.
