Seiniku-Ten @ Ari — Restaurant in Phaya Thai Subdistrict

A great Japanese-style barbeque place in the Ari neighbourhood. Originally from Osaka, Seiniku-ten has 2 Bangkok locations; Thonglor and Ari. At the Ari location, the house and decor was eye-catching and helped to create an authentic Japanese atmosphere. Buffets lasted for 2 hours with 2 options: 599 and 699 baht. The 699 course had more marinated beef options plus lamb and cod fish, both of which I've never encountered before at a bbq location. Quality was high. Veggies were fresh. Dessert was pretty average, however, with ice cream, fruits and yoghurt. In addition, the house dipping sauce was top-notch and makes a big difference as to whether customers will repeat their visit or not. Food is ok for the price, although the beef is not typical yakiniku beef as it's cut paper thin. The service was terrible but quite typical for this type of restaurant in Thailand. Worst was that staff started extensively cleaning the restaurant and the grills at 10 pm while there were some customers left and they were supposed to be open till 11. This gives the impression that they all they care about is going home, and of course breathing in cleaning chemicals is offputting when eating. Kitchen also closes at 10 so be aware that if you arrive at 8.30 like we did, you will not get 2 hours'...

Me and my colleague visited Seinikuten for buffet lunch. We came here before and predominantly the reason we return is because there have lots of space for large group to come and lots of choices to choose from their buffet menu. This time around Seinikuten again did not disappoint us. Decent service, moderate quality Japanese style BBQ food. There's something for everyone to order and try.
