Props to the decor. They really set the mood & tone for the restaurant, though the song could use a bit of a new playlist. It is an American Fried Rice (which doesn't originate in America) restaurant but they play a French Bossa playlist....you have to admit it's a bit weird.
The overall service is good. However, I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that the first 2 dishes that I ordered were all out. This restaurant opens in a round and I was the second table of the evening round. You have to wonder why the staffs didn't re-supply all the necessary materials in preparation for the evening opening.
The food is ok. It has its wow factor and it's photogenic. However, the chicken is a bit too dry. The fried rice lacks a bit of tomato paste which makes it a little bland. The side-dishes (ham, sausage, bacon), well let's just say that I'm very familiar with the taste which means I know the brand this restaurant uses. With the price they charged for (350 per plate), I would expect these side-dishes from a better source, high-end german sausage perhaps, signature home-made even better.
Overall, the place is good for a gathering. Whether this place is worth a return trip, that's up to individual's choice.
For me, it's gonna be a long while before I return to this place again. I sure hope they take this criticism as well-intended. I truly want the...

Lucky’s Hungry AFR in Ari is a fantastic fusion restaurant that offers a unique twist on classic dishes, particularly their signature American fried rice. The food is incredibly flavorful, and the portion sizes are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied.
The restaurant has a cozy yet trendy vibe, making it a great spot for casual dining with friends or a relaxed meal after a busy day. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with a warm and inviting ambiance that enhances the dining experience.
What sets Lucky’s apart is their creative approach to traditional dishes. The American fried rice, for instance, is not just a meal but an experience, with perfectly cooked rice, savory meats, and a perfectly fried egg on top. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients shine through in every bite.
Service here is quick and friendly, and the staff is always ready to help with recommendations or accommodate special requests. Despite the busy location, the restaurant manages to maintain a welcoming and efficient atmosphere.
If you’re in the Ari area and looking for a place that offers something different with a burst of flavor, Lucky’s Hungry AFR is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
Read moreFriendly and helpful staff. Rushed out to tell us where to park and provided map. Unfortunately the map was difficult to read and there are 2 parking lots on the main road. One is not open to public but the map is not specific which one to use. Menu has a wide selection of dishes, drinks and desserts. Ordered the house special and rosemary AFR and iced americano. Took about 10 mins for AFR to arrive. The fried chicken was overcooked and dry with bits too hard to chew and fried rice was a little bland. Some raisins were sweet and others sour (on purpose?). We commented on the chicken to the staff. They explained that the chicken was roasted first and fried before serving to reduce preparation time. I’m sure you can just deep fry chicken to a succulent level 165F in about 10 mins. I don’t mind waiting a little long for tender succulent drumsticks. Overall great staff and good coffee but unfortunately not can’t say the same for AFR especially at this...
