Holy Smokes — Restaurant in Phra Khanong Nuea Subdistrict

I loved the food to be honest. But was I disappointed in the staff’s hygiene. Both of the ladies that worked there.

Handling money and food at the same time was truly. Their clothes were also touching the customer’s food or on the customers tray. And this didn’t just happened once, it happens quite often as we lived near the place and have ordered a bunch of times.

Im writing this review in the hopes that the owner sees this and makes that change so we can continue buying. Truly great food, but food hygiene is a must especially in the midst of a pandemic.

Yes, I saw your staff was wearing gloves all time but she was also handling food and money with the same gloves.

I'm changing my review rating so it doesnt affect your business.. But i truly hope that this can be improved because you truly have incredible food that everyone should try. It's amazing.

I have been patronizing this place since its opening and glad it's a 1 minute walk from my lobby. The menu covers all the best items for a smoked barbeque. The brisket is perfectly cooked and the ribs are not your 'fall off the bone' style which NOT the way ribs should be. (Falling off the bone usually happens when the shortcut of steaming or boiling is used in the preparation process). These ribs are not overcooked or over smoked or dry. The fries are fresh and a perfect side with these meats. They now serve a corn, onion, tomato salad to replace the so-so coleslaw and wow is it tasty. There are sauces to choose from and all are top notch. It's a very popular spot for good reason and are sold out of items sometimes. ..... now, if they just served some collard...

The food was not bad so far as it goes, but the service was so poor and snarly that it completely ruined the experience. Somehow they managed to get both orders wrong (despite being corrected twice at the time of order) and were then immediately belligerent when we noticed that it wasn't right when the food arrived at our table. Seems like they just served whatever they wanted to with no apologies, corrections or refunds. The portions were small and the service was excruciatingly slow at 35 minutes, especially given that the food was already cooked and ready to be served at the time of order and only needed to be put on a plate and taken to the table. They were not particularly busy at the time. Very disappointing. Cannot return or recommend...
