Immsuk — Restaurant in Phra Khanong Subdistrict

Went there based on the high rates review. Staff was unfriendly and uninviting. We were hanging outside the restaurant looking for the seat. The lady staff just stared and did not attend to us, as she trys to be transparent. She wasn't busy the place was quite small and not too many customers, just that tables seem to be occupied with things and not people.

Then we saw a table inside empty of human and bags, and went in, put our bags down and try to find a place for the umbrella. The lady staff just suddenly 'appeared' and become concerned and said "outside outside". Kinda of rude, while we understand she means he umbrella is outside. But outside where? Or she means we sit outside. She cannot just show us??

Stared right back at her and we walked out. We went outside for sure, opened our umbrella and went out the next door burger place instead. The staff then continued to be her 'transparent' self again

There is no point arguing or to tell off a poor attitude staff. It's a rare find indeed for my 7days trip on Bangkok, which most of the eateries I have went were rated 4 to 5 and perhaps only 1 eatery with a 3.

But this one is an outstanding one that deserves a 1. We find the staff offensive and almost ruined our last meal in Bangkok. The owner I think is a more elderly lady behind. I think she is just as uninterested in customers walking in.

The service was good but unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our food.

We had a hard time finding the place at first. When we arrived it wasn’t busy and there was a cat walking around the dining area. It was a family pet but almost caused us to leave because I’m allergic to cats.

We stayed anyways. I got the stir fry egg noodles with egg. I chose the vegetarian option hoping it would have some vegetables included. It did not. I asked to add cashews but was told no. Lots of egg. Thick, clumped noodles served over lettuce that I found hard to eat without drinking with tons of water. I wish it had a sauce or something (if that makes sense) it would be easier to swallow. My bf got chicken pad thai and calamari.

Decent food but not very flavorful, and some dishes are much better than others. The second time I ordered chicken cashew nut it came with popcorn sized fried chicken which was disappointing and not authentic. I’m also gluten free and was expecting regular chicken like I got the first time. The service is quite bad and they’re not very nice or friendly. Overall it’s decent enough for me to recommend, but only if you are already nearby. If you have serious allergies I would be careful here. And they don’t have any hot tea which...
