ฉันแวะมาร้านกาแฟนี้หลังจากมื้ออาหารกลางวัน และสั่งอเมริกาโน่หนึ่งแก้ว ฉันถามพนักงานว่ามีแก้วสำหรับนั่งดื่มในร้านไหม เพราะไม่อยากใช้แก้วพลาสติกให้สิ้นเปลือง แต่ทางร้านเสิร์ฟในแก้วพลาสติกเท่านั้นแม้จะนั่งที่ร้านก็ตาม ฉันจึงใช้แก้วส่วนตัวของตัวเอง (คงช่วยลดขยะ และช่วยประหยัดต้นทุนร้านไปด้วย)

ตอนแรกทุกอย่างก็ดูดี กาแฟรสชาติดี ราคาสมเหตุสมผล และพนักงานก็สุภาพ ฉันได้รับกาแฟประมาณบ่ายสองโมง และด้วยความที่ร้านปิดสี่โมงเย็น ฉันจึงถามว่าเสียบชาร์จโน้ตบุ๊กได้ไหม พนักงานตอบว่าได้และยังช่วยขยับโต๊ะไปใกล้ปลั๊กให้อีกด้วย บรรยากาศเงียบสงบ เหมาะกับการทำงานมาก (มีลูกค้าแค่สองโต๊ะรวมฉันด้วย)

แต่เหตุการณ์แปลกๆ ก็เกิดขึ้น ประมาณบ่ายสามโมงครึ่ง พนักงานเดินมาถามว่าต้องการสั่งอะไรเพิ่มไหม ฉันตอบว่าไม่ครับ คิดว่าเป็นการเตือนก่อนร้านปิดตามปกติ แต่แล้วประมาณบ่ายสามโมงสี่สิบห้า พนักงานคนเดิมกลับมาอีกครั้ง และพูดในน้ำเสียงสุภาพแต่กดดัน ว่าฉัน จำเป็นต้องสั่งอะไรเพิ่ม เพราะกำลังชาร์จโน้ตบุ๊กอยู่ และเธอยืนยันว่า จริงๆ แล้วถ้าจะใช้ปลั๊กต้องสั่งอย่างน้อย 300 บาท ถึงจะชาร์จไฟได้ฟรี

ตรงนี้แหละที่รู้สึกแย่มาก เพราะตอนสั่งกาแฟก็ไม่บอก ไม่มีป้าย ไม่มีเงื่อนไขอยู่ที่ไหนเลย และตอนขอชาร์จก็บอกว่า "ได้" โดยไม่มีข้อแม้ใดๆ ถ้านี่คือกฎของร้านก็ไม่มีปัญหา แต่ควรแจ้งให้ลูกค้ารู้ตั้งแต่แรก ไม่ใช่มาบอกก่อนร้านปิดแค่ไม่กี่นาทีแบบนี้ มันดูไม่จริงใจ และทำให้รู้สึกเหมือนโดนหลอกมากกว่า

จริงๆ ฉันกำลังคิดว่าจะกลับมาใช้บริการที่นี่อีกบ่อยๆ ด้วยซ้ำ แต่หลังจากเหตุการณ์นี้ – ขอเป็นครั้งสุดท้าย ฉันไม่โอเคกับการบริการที่ทำให้ลูกค้ารู้สึกว่าโดนเอาเปรียบแบบนี้เลย

ใครที่กำลังจะมาร้านนี้ อย่าลืมถามให้ชัดเจนก่อนเสียบปลั๊กนะครับ ด้วยความเคารพ และขอให้โชคดี

I visited this coffee shop after lunch and ordered an Americano. I politely asked if they had a dine-in cup, as I didn’t want to waste plastic—but unfortunately, they serve all drinks in plastic cups, even for dine-in. So I used my own cup (I guess I saved the planet, and they saved a few baht).

At first, everything seemed great: the coffee was good, reasonably priced, and the staff were polite. I got my drink around 2 p.m., and since the shop closes at 4, I asked if I could charge my laptop while I worked. They kindly said yes and even helped me move to a table near the outlet. The place was quiet and peaceful—only two customers including me—so it seemed like the perfect work spot.

However, things took a strange turn. Around 3:30 p.m., one staff member asked if I’d like another drink. I declined, thinking it was just a polite last-call before closing. Then at 3:45 p.m., the same staff came back and, in a very polite but pressured tone, told me I had to order something else—because I was charging my laptop. She insisted that I should’ve spent at least 300 THB to be allowed to use electricity.

This was never mentioned before—not on the menu, not on the wall, not when I ordered, and not when I asked to charge my laptop. If it’s a shop policy, that’s fine—just say it up front. But springing it on a customer 15 minutes before closing felt disrespectful and borderline manipulative.

I was honestly considering making this one of my favorite cafés, but after that experience—never again. I don’t appreciate being made to feel like I was being taken advantage of.

Just a heads-up to others: ask clearly before plugging in. Respect...

Very nice matcha cafe in the heart of Ayutthaya. We visited this place twice and all drinks that we had were fantastic. I got a matcha latte that was better than many I had in Japan. The stuff are also super kind and the decoration of the place is beautiful. Highly recommended for a relaxing break...

We visited twice during our stay in Ayutthaya as we enjoyed this place so much. If I lived nearby I would 100% be a regular customer 😂
