Isan Ban Saep — Restaurant in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya City Municipality

Been passing through this restaurant countless times and figured out I have to give it a try.

Looks like it's a family run eatery. We were greeted warmly when I came along with my friend.

The ambience is cozy. Seats and tables are comfortable enough for a quick meal and stay. Looked at the menu and it was very enticing. Made us more hungry and wanting to order as much as we can. Lol

Went for papaya salad with salted egg, seafood garlic basil and basil chicken. We were very satisfied! It was really tasty and we loved it so much.

The serving amount isn't much, especially the rice serving, and comparing the price to other restaurants, it's a bit pricier but the difference is negligible.

But given the food quality, it's absolutely justifiable and worth it!

As a foreigner who lives around this city, I wouldn't go here as often because I have a lot of other options in terms of cheaper food but also as tasty.

But I am definitely coming back here again and again to try out some more of their food and I'd definitely recommend it to friends or family who would come visit me here...

I got in after lunch time so the place is empty. The host didn't speak much English but we got our ideas across. The host made the food right after I ordered. She even made the passion fruit drink for me when she didn't have what I wanted (coconut water). The place is nicely decorated, and the AC is a godsend after a long bike ride. The food was good, and since there weren't any other customers I got to chat with the host a bit.

P.S. I had trouble finding the place since there weren't any...

Having read excellent reviews, my wife and I visited IsanBaanZab/Saep, 2xs during our 4 day stay. Other restaurants in the area did not satisfy our quest for true Thai Flavors!! We had Tom Yum twice, Stir Fried Pork and Basil, Pad Thai with Shrimp, Papaya Salad, Crispy Catfish Salad!! We ordered Medium Spicy!! Awesome food served by an awesome hostess!! 10 minute walk from Wat Ratchaburana. Highly recommended. The restaurant has Air Con as well as Fan. Visited...
