EDIT: We have since ate here again and we can confirm the food is as always outstanding and the service was brilliant, even with a full house. Wishing this place every bit of success.

We ate here of a Sunday evening. We had only been in Hua Hin a few days after arriving in from Chiang mai. It’s safe to say we missed Northern Thai food. We really loved the food, on this evening we had the massaman curry and pad kaprow. The food tasted wholesome and fresh. Without question, the best food we had ate in Hua Hin. Once we finished, we got talking for the owners husband. Super nice friendly man. We tried booking again for the Monday night, they’re closed on Mondays so we booked the same table for the Tuesday. Tuesday came. We arrived, we passed ourselves and went to sit at our table. The owner came to us and said sorry this is reserved and began walking away. I was a little confused considering we had only booked on the Sunday evening, they were shut and only reopened that Tuesday. I was trying to tell the lady we had booked but she kept walking away, it seemed like she was very overwhelmed which is totally understandable in hospitality but for a good few minutes we were trying to take our seat and we were told sorry we are fully booked, this table is taken. After this the lady began walking inside trying to find us a table but my only concern is, if she had of stopped for 1 minute to ask “do you have a booking” or even just stopped to listen to what we were trying to say then this could have been avoided. I haven’t been back since as this did put me off. Anyway, we finally sat at our table and after a few minutes I think the lady realised it was our booking and brought us menus, we had Khoi Soi and it didn’t taste very authentic in my opinion, it was a bit too soupy and missing some flavour but still good! I’m putting this down to the fact they were fully booked (not all tables were in use though!) all this being said, the place beautiful and I love how they plate...

🌟 A Culinary Gem in Hua Hin – Khao Soi @ Hua Hin 102 🌟

If you’re craving a taste of northern Thailand without leaving the heart of Hua Hin, Khao Soi @ Hua Hin 102 is the spot that dreams—and appetites—are made of. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warm, inviting vibe that sets the stage for what can only be described as an unforgettable feast.

🍜 The Khao Soi? Perfection. Rich, creamy, and soul-hugging, their take on the classic northern curry noodle soup is pure magic. The noodles strike the perfect balance between chewy and crisp, and the curry? Silky, aromatic, and layered with flavor in a way that only true culinary craftsmanship can achieve.

🍖 The Pork Ribs? Unreal. Tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs soaked in flavor, with just the right caramelized char. Each bite was a harmony of smoky, sweet, and savory, like they’d been slow-cooked with love and a little bit of wizardry.

🥭🍚 Mango Sticky Rice? Divine. It’s the kind of dessert that leaves you speechless. Perfectly ripe mango slices, paired with coconut-infused sticky rice that’s delicately sweet and comforting. It’s not just a dessert—it’s an ode to balance and simplicity.

🧡 Whether you’re a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or just passing through and looking for something memorable, Khao Soi @ Hua Hin 102 absolutely delivers. It’s the kind of place you find yourself dreaming about days later, wondering when you can go back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the Best Dining Experiences in Hua Hin — and All of Thailand

Khao Soi 102 is nothing short of a hidden gem and has easily become one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting — not just in Hua Hin, but anywhere in Thailand.

From the moment you step through the door, you're transported into another world. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in traditional Lanna style, with warm lighting, intricate wooden details, and gentle music that immediately sets a serene, welcoming tone. It's not just a meal here — it’s a full cultural experience.

The food is absolutely outstanding, especially the vegan options. Every dish is made with the highest quality ingredients and bursts with authentic Lanna flavors. The khao soi is, of course, the star — rich, fragrant, and deeply comforting — but everything we tried was exceptional. The presentation of each dish is also thoughtful and elegant, adding to the overall sense of care that defines this place.

The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The owner personally welcomed us and made us feel like we were guests in their home, not just diners in a restaurant. It felt like we were sharing a meal with family, which made the evening even more special.

Khao Soi 102 isn’t just about great food — it’s about heart, culture, and hospitality. A must-visit if you’re in Hua Hin, and a place I’ll be dreaming of long...

We had dinner at Khao Soi Hua Hin and oh my goodness …. It was fantastic! When you take that first spoonful, the flavor is very strong and unmistakable – creamy coconut with a hint of sweetness and just enough spice to tantalize your taste buds. And they’re not stingy with the crispy noodle topping either. I was in Khao Soi heaven from the first slurp … and didn’t leave one single little drop of broth in the bowl! Their sai ua was also perfect … the flavours, my goodness, so distinctive, perfect blend of spices, pork, and lemongrass. The restaurant space is small but not uncomfortably small, the seats are comfortable, I loved the decor - it’s quaint, the service was fantastic, they have a simple drinks menu (beer, wine, soft drinks, juices), and also offer coffee & tea. They’re open from 11am to 9pm. This was probably the best khao soi I’ve had in Hua Hin ! And without a doubt, I’ll be going back many many times ! There were five of us, we shared two starters (400 grams of sai ua and one order of deep fried pork ribs), 5 khao soi, 2 beers, 3 glasses of Shiraz, 2 soft drinks, 2 fresh orange juice and 2 cappuccino. Total cost: 2,013 baht 🤩 If you’re a fan of khao soi - you need to try this place ! #esanfood #khaosoi #huahinfoodies #eatlocal

I love a place with a house special, especially one that’s bold enough to put it right in the name of the shop. In a world where it’s harder for mom and pop style shops to stay open and prosperous, it’s great to see traditions being kept alive, and people that really care about the food they make. Chicken Khao Soi is one of my favourite Thai dishes - and my favourite ‘selfish’ Thai dish. Thai food, like most Asian food, is shared. So if I ever get a chance to go solo, this is my go-to. Khao Soi is a rich and savoury curry soup, served with egg noodles and a stewed chicken leg, and garnished with crispy deep fried noodles, completing the major Asian food groups of spicy, meaty, ricey/noodley, and crunchy. And this place does it right. The Khao Soi comes in 2 sizes and comes in a fancy bamboo bowl thing. And you can get extra noodles which is good because I always run out. Staff is super friendly and the restaurant is cosy and cute. They have other stuff too! I’m sure it’s great, but get the Chicken Khao Soi. It’s in the name!
