Tl;dr superb breakfast. Mediocre room. Butler service is excellent. Mixed service. Good for a few insta shots. Sub-par value (assuming USD 1k per night) otherwise.
Breakfast was stellar with a wide variety of selections and a fresh juice station. The butlers were very friendly but they had limited information (such as dining availability and hotel activities) and were more like call center agents. Plenty of amenities were available.
However even at what appears to be half occupancy at the relatively small property, there were noisy and littering guests around the pool. The breakfast restaurant also got quite busy at 9am.
Although butlers were helpful and courteous, we did not enjoy their ability to enter guest villas at will (through a service entrance) without so much of a knock or a door bell. Overall service from the operations team is excellent.
The villas themselves are relatively well maintained, but rusty vent covers in the restrooms show signs of their age. The rooms were spacious but they offered absolutely no view. Bedrooms either had no windows or had their windows faced against walls about 6 feet away.
Dinner service was somewhat intrusive as we were asked on 3 separate occasions how our dinner went. Our dishes were hastily collected at the end, and we were asked to help pass tableware to them, even though we've already asked for the check.
Overall we didn't think the stay matched their ask and the experience Accor intended to provide.
There are multiple other luxury properties in the area that provide oceanview villas and better services for the same ask, if not less. The management needs to lower their rates, or get rid of the glaring...
Read moreDear [Hotel Management/V Villas Hua Hin Team],
I hope this message finds you well.
I am a loyal guest who has been staying at V Villas Hua Hin regularly for over four years. You may refer to your records to confirm my history with the property, as I have always chosen your hotel for its exceptional service and high standards.
However, during my most recent stay, I encountered a deeply disturbing and life-threatening experience that I never expected from a five-star hotel. While using the bathroom in my villa, I was shocked to discover a snake directly behind me. Had I not turned around at that moment, the snake was already in a position where it could have bitten me. This incident was terrifying, traumatic, and placed my life in immediate danger.
The villa manager and butler responded quickly and tried to calm me down, and I appreciate their concern and presence. They called housekeeping, who then killed the snake. However, the psychological impact of the incident was so severe that we had no choice but to leave the villa the same day.
I am still struggling to process what happened and find it difficult to believe such an incident could occur in a property of your standing. I trusted the environment to be safe, and this experience has left me deeply shaken.
I kindly ask that you formally acknowledge this serious safety breach and let me know how the hotel intends to address it — not only for me, but to prevent similar incidents for future guests.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I await your response. Regards ,...
Read moreWe checked in at around 11am and the staff greeted us with a bunch of lavender drinks and cookies.
The actual hotel size is quite small but has the design of the villas and the restaurant was modern, nothing to complain about. The villa was beautiful, no doubt about that but we kind of expected a nicer view because we paid about 1000USD for this hotel to get a very "luxury" view of a large, ugly hotel fence. Even though they charge guests an exorbitant price, they still wouldn't be bothered enough to make the mini bar with a few cokes and water, free.
(For instance on how stupid this was, we checked into the Space Pattaya Hotel a few days back, and they gave us 2 cokes and water everyday we stayed for FREE.)
We all wanted to play in the beach and pool ASAP, but our swimming stuff was in our luggages which took 25 minutes and 2 phone calls for them to actually bring the luggage. Even after changing into our swim suits the beach was covered in waves due to high tide. Normally, this would be tolerable but the hotel never mentioned this on their site..
We actually booked a beach activity during high tide because one of the staffs said that the waves would go down at 4pm, but the waves didn't. We assume the staff made up a random time because they didn't care enough to give us an 'honest' answer (!!).
I think this hotel design and facilities were great but it seems like the more expensive things get here the more mediocre...
