Salute - Trattoria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Ratsada

I am walking along a very busy street looking for a restaurant, so I turn down a very small and not busy side street and I cannot find the restaurant. I pulled up Google maps and looked for a highly rated restaurant. I found Salute..... and even though Italian food in Thailand doesn’t sound too intriguing, I decided to give it a try. The owner came over to greet me and chat for a little bit, very nice guy. His wife also came over to make sure everything was OK. Then the food came. I can honestly say I think I have the best Rigatoni with Bolognese sauce that I have ever eaten anywhere. I am writing this the day after because I am back here ordering again. We were treated to great food and service again after a year since we dined here. Salute has maintained its delicious food standard by Chef Alex and super service by wife Shoko. Honestly, its been a long long time since I've eaten a lasagne as good as here. Its was light and almost like a soufflé...DELICIOUS! The Margherita pizza was moist and crispy. The restaurant has new air-conditioners and it comfortably cool for an enjoyable meal from the humid Phuket weather. We were so full from all the food that we had to take home our tiramisu dessrt. I recommend that you come and have a great dining experience away from the Patong hustle and bustle at this restaurant's peaceful location near Phuket town....
