Stir fried Thai herb with chicken. Soooo good! I ordered it medium spicy, and that was still enough to make my nose run. Large place, large team of waitresses, well lit, comfortable with many fans, and wonderful food. I’ll definitely be eating there again. My only wish, for all the local restaurants, would be to put paper-towel on the table rather than the ultra-thin tissue paper. Really just a minor detail. Street Hut Thai restaurant is outstanding. The best ones I’ve even had and I’m quite experienced with Thai food. Papaya salad is great as well. Deep fried shrimps are wonderful, and everything I tied with shrimps was very tasty. They have fresh products. Many locals eat here, which is always a good sign. It looks like a family place to me, they are very friendly and try to do their best to make you happy. We arrived at 8pm on a Wednesday. The waitress said that it was busy and we had to wait about 30mins, that was ok with us.
After 1 hour, I asked the male manager if our food was coming, and so did other customers. He told us all dismissively to “sit down”. And that it would be another 20 minutes (total of almost 1.5 hours). He also claimed we hadn’t waited an hour.
We had to leave without eating because we had a massage appointment. I told him I was fine with delays, but that the service was terrible...
