The single worst dining experience in Bangkok. First time I am ever given such a low rating to a restaurant. The food items were expensive and my group expected quality. The lamb chops were too fatty and seemed to be a low quality cheap meat. The oysters were to quality but about 2x the amount for the same brands at other places. The pasta with its sauce tasted like a cheap version of alfredo that you buy and add sauce. The salmon arrived under cooked and pink in the inside. The food overall was horrible and the pricing very high.

I ordered 4 drinks the first drink came as expected. The restaurant was not busy and the remaining 3 drinks I waited 10 to 15 minutes and two times had to ask and get the waitress attention.

When the bill came the waitress who was missing in action most of the night had someone else deliver the bill. I guess she properly perceived we were not happy. It is the first time in my life i did not leave a tip but given the prices paid I am sure this restaurant is not hurting. I was courteous to the person holding the bill as i signed and but purposely left the tip line blank. This is the rare time that tipping was not earned nor should be given.

I hate writing a bad review but it is warranted. I would never return to this restaurant and can tell anyone reading this that there are countless better choices in Bangkok and don't waste you money. The view was outstanding but again certainly does not justify the quality and preparation of the food and the complete lack of any level of professionalism that you would expect from a waitress at such a restaurant.

The wine master however, was very personable and a pleasure to interact with and the DJ was great but the experience was so bad that staying and having a few more drinks and listening to the music was not an option.

I really hope the restaurant can improve and maybe we just had an unlucky experience but there were too many variables that seemed that my conclusion is overpriced with questionable quality. Again the experience at most Thai restaurants is great but sadly this is not the case. i read a few other reviews that gave high ratings but this certainly was not our experience and we all know the manipulation of online reviews and firms hired to write such reviews. It was these reviews that got me to attend the restaurant but these reviews did not even seem like the same restaurant. Very sorry to write this as first time ever I have written such a negative review but I felt ripped off on what was paid for poor service and bad food.

Look elsewhere to...

We picked this place to celebrate my friend’s birthday but unfortunately it was a bitter experience. We flew from Singapore and Australia to celebrate this special night after years of separation due to covid.

We were seated outdoors on high stools. Everything was fine, service was slightly slow but we understood it was a far walk for the waitress.

The first issue that made things sour for us was when we asked the waiter to take a photo for us but he said no flash photography is allowed. It was dark outside but the venue had 2 photographers there taking photos the entire night with flash but guest was not allowed to use flash.

The salmon came and it was the fishiest, smelliest, unfresh salmon I have ever tasted in my life. We told the waitress and she agreed to let us change it.

It started to rain and the waitress asked if we would like to move inside. I mean, why would she ask that? No one would want to eat in the rain right? When we said yes we want to move indoor, she told us to wait while she finds a table. Shouldn’t she already have a table before asking us? Within moments we were drenched.

Staff was way too slow to move our food and drinks, we carried our own food and drinks. They did not assist with picking up the food left on our table which needless to say half of our food was wasted. They did not agree to compensate for the wasted food drenched in rain.

We asked for directions to the toilet midway during our meal and the staff made us take a flight of stairs and go down a level for toilet when there was a toilet on the same floor.

We told the staff it was our friends birthday, she looked unhappy and served the cake to her when all of us was not even at the table to sing her happy birthday and take pictures. She also did not served us cutleries or reset our table after moving us inside. No water, no fork and spoon. Nothing! It was outrageous. By this point it was so obvious she was trying to force us to leave.

It was by far the worse dining experience. We paid around 13K baht for the worst service, half wasted food and worst tasting food too. Will never return. Pretty for pictures but pretty much a tourist trap. It is also far from city centre and traffic was bad. It was an experience not worth the hassle. I was drenched and ruined my hair...

There are better places to drink on the roof than this one, but don't go there expecting gourmet fare. Not worth it if you're just here for the food and atmosphere. Spending this much money on other Michelin-award winning chefs would be a much better decision. Despite the bland food, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff more than compensates for the poor food flavors. We gave the food three out of five stars. Unfortunately, the kitchen was unable to live up to the world-class service and hospitality it provides. First, the Seen Taco lacked a strong flavor profile. For a two-piece Taco that cost THB 690, it was a disappointment. The alaskan king crab was a small decoration on top of a guacamole and fish civiche that was poorly held together. Secondly, the Truffle Maine Lobster Avocado was just a plain avocado with no hints of truffle or seasoning in it. It was just plain. For THB 890, they need to think more than just sprinkles of the food and more bits of the Lobster. Coconut and yellow curry were slathered over the bland fish, but there was nothing special about it. It was watery with no indication of the curry proposition. The snow fish was fresh for sure, but for a price tag of THB 1,350, we expected much more. This place is pricey. With entrees, appetizers, and a bottle of wine, the average bill for two people comes to approximately THB 4,000 per person. Without the wine, it will be in the THB 2,000++ range. Avanti Hotel's on-site parking is convenient. With a view of the Chao Phraya River in the distance, this is a fantastic spot. As a general rule, it's best to come here to drink, not eat. I don't think I will be back here because I'd rather go for skyscraper view in the middle of Bangkok, but the service will be missed.
