HUM Coffee Brewer — Restaurant in Songkhla Province

I found Hum as I wandered around Hat Yai, went to Songkhla, came back and discovered my new hotel was just round the corner. I went every day during my stay.

I only ever had cappuccinos, but it would be hard to find a better one. Made with care and skill, it remains full of flavour to the last drop, without getting too milky.

HUM Coffee Brewer is one of the best small coffee shops that I've ever been to. The caramel latte and honey lemon soda were perfect. Boast, the owner, takes great pride in his craft, and it shows. I spent a few hours just talking about Hat Yai and southern Thailand with Boast and a few of his friends in the shop. They were all extremely kind and friendly and offered up many recommendations for food, drinks, sightseeing, etc, in Hat Yai, Songkhla City, and other regions in the far south of Thailand. An unassuming cafe from the outside. It's a small space, which means you get up close and personal with the barista. He can speak a little English. We ordered our drinks and could see him in action preparing it. We liked the cozy interior with the brick wall background, and spent quite a while there waiting out the rain.
