I love this place!
When we first arrived, the view of the cafe from the outside was so inviting with the colourful lights and cute signage. It immediately put a smile on my face.
Everyone should come here and try the vegetarian food! What I love about the food here is that there are vegetarian versions of local/Southeast Asian food that are usually meaty, and therefore I was so happy to get to try these local dishes. For example, among the dishes we ordered are the smoked duck and lahpet thoke, a Burmese salad that was deceptively spicy and addictive.
They also have a good range of juices and drinks that nourish and freshen you up!
The Madame is super friendly and talks to all her customers. I hear that Madame also sings (K)araoke but I sadly didn't get to stay that long.
Between the 2 of us we ordered quite a few dishes and 2 drinks hence why our bill was high but otherwise the food here is reasonably priced.
We also loved all the posters of Audrey Hepburn and cats!
Would definitely come again when I'm in...
Read moreGreat little find. So glad to have gone here. Great vegan options and full of vegan options.
I had Som Tom and wow. Full of spicy and so flavoursome. Really big portions ( I even had to take away part of it and had it as dinner the next day). The amount of veg which I loved. So fresh. Probably my best Som Tom so far I have had.
My husband had Green Thai Curry with rice. Again full of flavour and tons of vegetables. Big portions again. Tasted it and loved it.
Had rose hot tea, which was delicious. And my husband had a ginger lemon iced drink - super refreshing.
Someone ordered chips and they were crispy and fluffy.
Definitely recommend. The people who worked there couldn't do enough for us. Really friendly and wanted to make sure that we were all good. Really reasonable prices for the size and the quality...
Read moreA quirky and charming stop for vegetarians in Hat Yai! Madame Cat Restaurant impressed us with its all-vegan menu and fun, cat-themed decor. The atmosphere is laid-back, with lots of personality—from framed photos to neon lights, and even a lovely Siamese house cat lounging around to complete the theme.
We tried their Eggplant Pizza (which was a bit bland) and noodles stir-fry, both of which were fresh and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly. The café also offers shaded outdoor seating and a cozy interior setup perfect for a relaxed lunch or casual meal with friends.
While the place can feel a bit eccentric, it’s part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just curious to try something...
